How you will contribute:

Under the supervision of a nurse, provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies,
procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization.
Completes assigned nursing orders, including assisting patient with activities of daily living and
taking vital signs.
Observes patient status and responses; documents and reports changes in physical, mental and
emotional conditions to appropriate staff.
Reports test results and patient observations to appropriate staff.
Documents all patient care accurately in the medical record.
Maintains a safe and orderly environment by keeping patient rooms clean and ensuring medical
equipment is prepared and maintained.
Performs other tasks as assigned, including environmental services and preparing/transporting
patients for diagnostic services.
What You Will Need
Licenses / Certifications / Registrations:
BLS Provider required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Education:
High school diploma/GED required. Must be accepted or enrolled into a Nursing program upon date of
hire/transfer and begin classes within 90 days of date of hire/transfer. Exceptions will be made for
students in one-semester of remediation, academic probation or equivalent.
(Student Nurse Techs are expected to transition into a nursing role within our organization upon
graduation. If an intern does not accept a nursing position with the organization upon graduation, their
employment as a Student Nurse Tech will end effective their graduation date.)
