Verify that chart information is accurate and complete and make updates when needed. Educate patients on the products and services which are available to them and/or their clinician recommends. Review clinician prescriptions and order products based on medical chart records. Communicate with clinicians regarding questions or concerns about prescriptions and other eye-related issues. Operate manual lensometer and other tools to achieve proper fittings for patients. Schedule and confirm appointments based on established guidelines for doing so. Dispense contact lenses and various ophthalmic materials to patients. Troubleshoot complex situations and/or requests from customers regarding their eyewear. Collaborate with other departments to ensure patient requests are received by the appropriate team member. Follow through with orders until the customer's satisfactory resolution. Manage inventory of frames and contact lenses to ensure optimal customer satisfaction and product variety. Ensure that the retail area remains clean, well-stocked, and easily accessible to visitors. Ensure that all clinic procedures comply with HIPAA rules and regulations. Reconcile all monies and credit card receipts daily. Perform any additional tasks assigned by Management or the Practice Owners.

Maintains accurate, timely and objective documentation (for example: vital signs, ADL's, weight, intake, output, food intake, restorative, activity) each shift. Adheres to Infection Control policies at all times. Maintains a safe, clean environment on the nursing unit. Reports unsafe and/or broken equipment or practices immediately to appropriate personnel. Provides input and supports individual care plan goals for patients/residents. Manages (I suggest the language "fluctuations in patient/resident load") increased patient/resident load and demonstrates flexibility of work assignments. Injectable medications requiring constitution or adjustment beyond the standard dosing or in a multi-dose vial must be mixed and withdrawn in the presence of the in-house provider, clinician or registered nurse prior to administering to verify proper dosing. Vivitrol or other medications maintained in a single dose vial or syringe may be administered with documented training. Perform ordered screening, including hearing, vision and TB testing. Obtain prior authorization for prescriptions, durable medical equipment, and other therapies as needed. Forward other appropriate documents. Assist providers with routine patient communication including lab and test result notifications, prescription call-ins, and patient call backs. Administer routine wound care and dressing changes. Monitor patients who are determined by the provider to be stable.
