The Opportunity
12.5-month program at Riverside University Health System - Medical Center designed to train AP's in Emergency Medicine utilizing didactic and clinical experience.
2100 Clinical hours in acute EM care as well as weekly lecture time.
Core Emergency Department time will be 10 months (40 weeks).
Off service rotations include Internal Medicine, ICU, Bedside POCUS Ultrasound Course, and specialty rotation tracks.
Fellows will attend the Advanced Trauma and Life Support Course (ATLS) at RUHS.
In addition to core EM content, focused training will include clinical efficiency, documentation, billing, scribe utilization, and patient throughput.
This is a paid fellowship with benefits and malpractice insurance included.
Required Experience and Competencies
Physician Assistant applicants must be eligible and/or possess NCCPA certification or a graduate of an ARC-PA accredited program.
Nurse Practitioner applicants must be eligible and/or possess AANC or AANP certification, or a graduate of a CCNE or ACEN accredited program.
Must be licensed to practice in the State of California.
Eligible for and/or possess current DEA licensure (must be fully licensed by the start of the program).
Current certification in ACLS, PALS , and BLS.
Previous EMS/ED work experience is highly desirable but not required.

Prototypes is a fast-based environment.
The Medical Technician (Med Tech) is either a certified or registered substance use disorder professional who maintains registration/certification from an approved/accredited California agency. The Med Tech works in collaboration with other members of the multidisciplinary team to ensure best possible treatment outcome for the client and provide treatment in accordance with HealthRIGHT 360's philosophy, goals, policies, mission and vision. The Med Tech provides supervision and oversite of the participants and children assigned the detox or behavioral health units. The Med Techs provide facility coverage by supervising the participants during: medication line, withdrawal management, and free time. The Med Tech is customer service focused and is quick to take the lead in providing crisis intervention and participant stabilization. Responsible for completing withdrawal management paperwork. D. Documentation must be maintained in compliance with agency policy and procedures, HIPAA, 42-CFR, and funder standards.
Documents all client UA's using the UA form and a progress note.
Completes same day incident reports.
Documents withdrawal management or residential medication rounds and behavioral support rounds per protocol.
Files the documentation of the rounds in accordance with agency policy.

Administrative:

Collects, organizes and reports results of daily urinalyses.

Experience: Relevant experience assisting with activities of daily living such as providing basic nursing personal care services such as patient hygiene, grooming while assisting the nursing staff preferred.
Knowledge and Skills: Able to work in a fast-paced environment, and manage/prioritized/complete work assignments and other duties as assigned. Able to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing.
License and Certifications: A current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS card is required. Current California CNA certificate preferred.
Equipment: None.
Physical Requirements: Must be able to perform the essential physical requirements of the job.
PAY RANGE
$21.00 - $29.12
