Qualifications:
High school education or GED. Completion of special needs training courses offered through the district, if required. Must have the ability to maintain appropriate student behavior; perform appropriately in situations requiring tact and diplomacy; understand and carry out oral and written instructions; establish and maintain cooperative working relationships. The ability to successfully meet physical requirements of the job. Must pass an approved pre-placement medical assessment.

You dont mind getting a little dirtythis could include (but not limited to) assistance with eating, personal hygiene, assistance with dressing, shaving, light housekeeping, laundry, and other household chores.
You dont have to be a gourmet chef but you can prepare a good meal and work your way around a kitchen.
You are able to assist the client in many ways, this could include (but are not limited to), medication reminders, assisting with prescribed range of motion exercises, dementia care, companionship activities such as reading, music, puzzles, etc.

Must Haves:
Must be 18 years of age
Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English as needed for the job
Must possess a valid drivers license and current automobile insurance
You must have a high school diploma or GED
Meets the requirements for employees providing direct patient care
Must have the ability to pass a full employment background check
Must have successfully completed a Competency Evaluation that meets the State licensing law for home health agencies
Current CPR Certificate is recommended
6 months experience as a Home Health Aide in health care (in homes or facilities) and successful completion of a State-approved Nurse Aide or Home Health Aide course.

Hourly Rate is $18/hr-$19/hr.
Part Time hours include: 8 A.M-12 P.M or 1 P.M-5 P.M
Full Time hours include: 8 A.M-5 P.M
Scheduled Days are Monday-Friday.

As a Home Care Aide/Caregiver, here's a big-picture view of what you'll do:
Provide the personal care and support seniors/pediatrics/veterans/disabled need to live safely at home.
Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, light housekeeping, meal preparation, shopping, transportation, and companionship.
Help with ambulation, transferring and range of motion exercises.
Provide medication reminders, document their condition, and notify a supervisor of any concerns.
Ensure a safe home environment with unobstructed pathways.
Participate in activities that bring clients joy such as puzzles, games, reading and hobbies.
A few must-haves for Home Care Aides/Caregivers:
High school diploma (or equivalent) and active Home Care Aide (HCA) registration in California.
Six (6) months of experience in a healthcare role preferred.
CPR certification
Valid CA driver's license, auto insurance, and transportation.
Current TB screening.
Compassionate and helping nature, good communicator, and ability to lift to 50 lbs.
