About the role:
Every day, the donors you meet will motivate you. The high-quality plasma you collect will become life-changing medicines. Here, a commitment to customer service and quality is expected. You will report to the Plasma Center Manager and will perform as a plasma donor screener and perform phlebotomy to support plasma center operations.
How you will contribute:
· You will answer phones, and greet and focus on our donors, while ensuring the safety of donors and our team.
· You will screen new and repeat donors and take and record donor vital signs and finger stick results.
· You will use our Donor Information System, prepare donor charts, maintain accurate records, and coordinate donor compensation.
· You will help identify operational opportunities for continuous improvement and initiate changes to center processes using company approved procedures.
· You will be there for our donors, which includes working a variety of shifts, Saturdays and Sundays, and holidays.
What you bring to Takeda:
· High school diploma or equivalent
· Ability to walk and/or stand for the entire work shift
· Will work evenings, weekends, and holidays
· Ability to lean, bend, stoop, crouch, and reach above shoulders and below knees
· Ability to lift to 5 lbs., and occasional lifting of materials up to 32 lbs. and rarely 50 lbs.
· Fine motor coordination, depth perception, and ability to hear equipment from a distance
· Because of potential exposure to bloodborne pathogens (risk level 1), 90% of work tasks require prolonged glove wear
· 1 or more years minimum experience working in a customer or patient facing role is helpful

Job Summary:
The Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) Social Worker Licensed Candidate (SWLC), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), and Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor Candidate (LCPC-C) position assesses and treats individuals with mental, emotional or substance abuse issues. Duties include individual and/or group therapy, crisis intervention, case management, client advocacy, prevention and education. The position consults with physicians and other clinic staff to provide solution-focused care. The position coordinates and connects patients and clients to appropriate social services to meet the physical, financial, social and/or environmental needs of patients and their families as needed.
Essential Functions/Major Duties and Responsibilities:
A. LCSW, SWLC, LCPC, and LCPC-C services: 70%
* Counsel clients in individual or group sessions to assist them in dealing with substance abuse, mental or physical illness, poverty, unemployment, physical abuse, etc.
* Collaborate with counselors, physicians, or nurses to plan or coordinate treatment, drawing on social work experience and patient needs.

Works collaboratively with the health care team including nursing staff and other health care providers to meet the physical, psychosocial, educational and spiritual needs of the patient and family.
Essential Job Functions
* Supports and models behaviors consistent with the mission, vision, values and philosophy of Billings Clinic. Functions within the core competencies and "Minimum Specifications" set forth by the organization.
* Responds in a timely, pleasant, efficient manner to the needs of the patient, using PSE guidelines. Adheres to confidentiality (HIPPA) and patient right requirements.
* Performs phlebotomy procedures per established laboratory guidelines for collection and processing of specimens.
* Collects laboratory specimens as needed. Performs Point of Care (POC) laboratory testing (glucometer).

Gets necessary equipment for treatments by caregivers.
1:1 as assigned stocks floor & essential patient needs for par levels.
Reports changes in patient condition, patient needs, and patient/visitor problems to the Primary Nurse/or Charge Nurse.
Rest walks may be needed for 2 person transfers.
Performs EKGs as required and places patients on cardiac monitors.
Assists Diagnostic Imaging Tech with assisting in transfer of patients to CT or US.
Assists physician/RN as needed with tasks such as providing supplies and equipment.
Maintains clean patient environment by assisting in the cleaning and maintenance of the waiting room and patient rooms. Performs linen changes for occupied beds while maintaining proper patient body alignment and comfort.
Knowledge and competence in all equipment cleaning

Upon admission of new patients, takes patients height, weight, and blood pressure. Weekly vital signs are completed on patients as directed by nursing staff.
Assists with the maintenance of patient charts, to include signing of releases, preparing documentation for appointments as necessary, and signing, dating, and verifying completed documentation for completeness and accuracy.
Maintains supply rooms. Ensures supplies are in stock and requests supplies as needed.
Various assignments may include lab draws, collecting UA samples, collecting breath alcohol levels and charting results.
Administers drug screen protocol to patients under supervision of provider, midlevel provider or nurse.
Assist with monitoring detox patients and crisis stabilization patients.
Assist with detox admissions, including patient care which includes linen changes and bed baths prn, assisting getting patients up for meals and serving trays and monitoring meals for detox patients.
Provide therapeutic interaction for Crisis Stabilization patients.

EDUCATION/TRAINING:

CERTIFICATE OR LICENSE: Medical Assistant certification preferred. Current CPR and First Aid. Good driving record and insurability is required. Must have valid Montana driver's license.
SKILLS: Listening and speaking skills; legible penmanship; interpersonal communication skills in working with the public, doctors and various other departments. Empathy and ability to establish a therapeutic relationship with all types of patients. Computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft software including Word, Excel and Outlook.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Work is indoors in an office environment with moderate noise. Intermittent physical effort involving lifting of up to 25 pounds, walking and stooping is required. A typical workday involves sitting, frequent use of a keyboard, reaching with hands and arms, and talking and hearing, approximately 70% of the time. Approximately 30% or less of the time is spent standing. Normal vision abilities required, including close vision and ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT/JOB LOCATIONS: Involves everyday risk or discomfort requiring normal safety precautions in an office setting, meeting room and patient care areas. Work may involve mental and emotional stress. Some driving required. Will work primarily at Main Facility.
