What You'll Do * Transports clients/youth to and from designated areas using proper transportation equipment. * Must ensure clients/youth are safely secured in their car seats/boosters or using a seat belt. * Follows established safety protocols and procedures * Assist patients in and out of vehicles and ensure their safety during transport. * Maintains cleanliness and orderliness of the vehicle used for transport. * Monitors and reports any concerns or incidents by communicating effectively with SAFY leadership. * Monitor and assist students with mental, physical, or emotional challenges. * Address and de-escalate any issues that may arise during transport. * Provide a caring, respectful, and safe environment for all passengers. * Complete all required documentation and travel logs. * Establish and maintain a positive working relationship with all levels of SAFY staff by participating in required meetings or events. * Maintain a supportive and positive working relationship with youth, foster parents, referring agencies, and other SAFY stakeholders. * Meets regularly with supervisor to discuss issues and performance. * Other duties as assigned by supervisor. Qualifications Education * High School Diploma or GED Experience * Must have experience working with children. * Must have the ability to positively interact with children and adults. * Must be at least 25 years old. * Valid State Driver's License and reliable transportation. We do not provide a vehicle. * Must have a current/active CPR certification, can help obtain after hired. Other * Acceptable driving record and auto insurance to meet travel requirements. * Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential and the ability to work flexible hours. * Professionalism and customer service orientation. * Ability to remain calm and handle situations professionally. * Compassionate and patient, as there is potential you will work with children of varying abilities. * Strong organization skills, strong attention to details, accuracy and ability to prioritize workload. * Resolution skills to demonstrate effective problem-solving.
