Responsible for the delivery of resident care (baths, personal grooming, feeding) as directed by the Instructor, Manager, RN, or LPN. Maintains established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program, safety, environmental, and infection control standards. Strives to incorporate the philosophy and mission of the facility and to incorporate the facility's goal of quality care in a personal manner with total regard for individual human dignity.
We have FT openings 2nd shift (7 pm - 7 am) with every other weekend. We also have PRN and PT shifts available.
Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
The CNA provides personal care assistance to residents as directed (bathing, grooming, feeding, and toileting) with ADLs.
Prepares residents for meals; serves and collects trays, assists in setting up and feeding residents; serves fresh water and nourishments when indicated and records amount consumed.
The CertifiedNursing Assistant helps residents with transferring and lifting, raising and turning residents in beds. May apply restraints as directed.
Obtains vital signs on residents whose medical conditions warrant such monitoring. Obtains urine samples, weights, intake/output, empties foley catheter bags.
Regularly checks on residents ensuring comfort, dignity and privacy, responds to call bells promptly, and ensures call bell is within reach.
Performs related Nurse Assistant duties, as assigned for efficient unit operation.
Prepares resident's room for admission. Orients resident to room, provides admission pack supplies, assists resident with dressing as indicated, and restocks resident rooms.
Attends all in-services and meetings as required, serves on committees as assigned.
