Physical Demands:

We are seeking Qualified Medication Aides (QMA)/Recovery Support Specialists to join our care team. In this role, you will work under the supervision of a Licensed Nurse (RN or LPN) to administer oral, topical, and non-parenteral medications in accordance with physician/provider orders, Indiana State Board of Health regulations, and facility policy. Your contributions will support safe and compassionate care for clients in both detox (ASAM 3.7) and residential (ASAM 3.5) levels of care.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Administer medications (oral, topical, non-parenteral only) as delegated by a supervising nurse and in compliance with Indiana State Board of Health/QMA regulations.
Accurately document all medication administration in the EMR and report any errors or variances immediately.
Monitor and report client responses to medications, including adverse reactions or side effects, promptly to the supervising nurse.
Assist in maintaining accurate medication counts, secure storage, and chain-of-custody procedures.
Support nursing staff with vital signs, patient monitoring, and delegated care tasks.

Report unusual color or odor of excretes (urine, drainage, stool or sputum) before discarding it.

Client Profile\- Medical facility offering independent living, assisted living and memory care.
Job Summary\- Responsible for setting up and administering resident medications as ordered by physicians and per professional standards of medication administration. Providing direct care to residents, communicate residents' needs effectively, attend\/participate in scheduled in service\/training programs, assist with programming activities, adhere to safety and infection control policies and procedures, promote positive public relations for facility and perform other tasks as required by Director of Nursing or designee.
Qualifications
Valid QMA certificate from an accredited program. At least one year experience in long term care, assisted living preferred.
CPR & First AidCertification a plus; TB completed test a plus
Valid DL
Physical within a year a plus
Comfortable providing above average patient service, physically able to stand and walk for periods of time
Organized with ability to multitask and prioritize workflow
Must be able to successfully pass a criminal background check
Hours: 1st shift 6am to 2pm (2:30pm); 2
nd shift 2pm to 10pm (10:30pm) and 3
rd shift 10pm to 6am (6:30am); full time need; Must be okay with working weekends; doubles allowed
