Position Summary:

In this role you will:

* Provide day-to-day cares of residents.

* Answer and assist residents with request for assistance.

Qualified candidates will have:

Summary:

Cares for patients in nursing home under direction of nursing and medical staff, by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

* Follows all nursing home policies and procedures governing the care of the resident

* Answers call lights, safety alarms or paging system to determine patients’ needs

* Bathes, dresses, and undresses patients

* Serves and collects food trays and feeds patients requiring assistance

* Transports patients or assists patients to walk

* Assists patients during examinations and treatments, and remains with patients to perform such duties as holding instruments and adjusting lights

* Turns and repositions bedfast patients, alone or with assistance, to prevent pressure ulcers

* Changes bed linens, empties trash cans, runs errands, directs visitors, and answers telephone

* Takes and records temperature, blood pressure, pulse and respiration rates, and food and fluid intake and output, as directed

* All Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) must be accurately documented using either computerized means (or manual as necessary)

* Other duties may be assigned

Current Colorado Certified Nurse Aide (C.N.A.) certificate
