The Vice President, Patient Services, is a critical member of PharmaCord's Operating Committee. The Vice President, Patient Services will also have accountability for a portfolio of PharmaCord's client programs, supporting the specific vertical's program teams and directors/associate directors with leadership, guidance, and operational oversight.
Your Impact in This Role

Executive oversight for a portfolio of the company's client programs, which will be a subset of the total client programs managed by the company:
Strategic direction and oversight for the responsible client programs

Observe and verify that medication is ingested or applied, as directed.
Document any instance where prescribed medication is not administered, including reason(s) for refusal.

Verify that adequate supply of floor stock medications, supplies, and equipment is on hand to meet the nursing needs of the residents. Report needs to the Nurse Supervisor/Charge Nurse.
Order prescribed medications, supplies, and equipment as necessary, and in accordance with established procedures.
Verify that narcotic records are accurate for your shift.
Follow facility policies and procedures regarding the destruction of medications.
Notify the Nurse Supervisor/Charge Nurse of all drug and narcotic discrepancies noted on your shift.
Review medication orders for completeness of information, accuracy in the transcription of the physician's order and adherence to stop order policies.
Notify the Charge Nurse/Nursing Supervisor of automatic stop orders prior to the last dosage being administered.
