Minimum Qualifications:
Current certification validated from the LA Department of Health and Hospitals OR have successfully completed a Home Health Aide training program and a Home Health Aide Competency evaluation.
Current BLS certifications through any International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation (ILCOR) provided courses such as but not limited to: Ochsner Health System, American Heart Association, and American Red Cross. The ILCOR course must include a manikin check off.
Have the ability to read, write and carry out directions promptly and accurately.
Exhibits a sympathetic attitude toward the patient, an ability to provide care to the sick, including terminal illness, and the maturity and ability to deal effectively with the demands of the job.
This position requires driving a hospital-owned vehicle and/or a personally owned vehicle to perform the essential job duties. In order to be considered, the candidate:
• Must have a valid and current state issued driver's license. Must have reliable transportation for work with current safety inspection (brake tag) and vehicle license plate registration.
• Must maintain and provide proof of automobile insurance (at his/her own expense) in amounts which meet at least the minimum liability coverage limits required by the state of their residence.

Your Role and Responsibilities:
As a CNA or caregiver, you will play a vital role in the well-being of our elderly clients. Your responsibilities will include:
Daily Care Assistance: Support clients with daily living activities, including turning, ambulation, personal hygiene (bathing, dressing), and ensuring they receive proper nutrition and hydration.
Comfort Measures: Provide additional care such as delivering therapeutic baths, ice packs, and dressings as needed for client comfort.
Monitoring and Reporting: Record vital information like food intake, urinary and fecal output, and communicate these observations effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare staff.
Collaboration: Work alongside a multidisciplinary team to provide personalized, high-quality care that addresses the unique needs of each client.
Emotional Support: Foster a caring environment by offering companionship and emotional support to clients, helping them feel safe and comfortable.
Requirements and Skills:
To be successful in this role, candidates should have:
A High School diploma or GED equivalent.
State CertifiedNursing Assistant (CNA) Certification (if applicable).
Current CPR certification.
Basic computer skills.
Strong communication abilities, particularly oral communication, for interacting with clients, healthcare professionals, and team members.
A calm, professional demeanor, especially in high-pressure or fast-paced situations, is essential to ensure smooth client care.

Non-Certified Caregivers earn between $12-13/hour for private clients.
