Utilizes time, equipment, and supplies in an efficient & safe manner. 7. Completes all assigned duties during designated shift. Prioritizes resident care activities based on care needs. Recognizes need for purpose vs. task when caring for residents. 8. Provides personal care assistance to residents, encouraging self care and independence but offering and providing help as needed: Personal hygiene - bathing, bathroom/bedpan, oral care, AM and PMcare Positioning Dressing Ambulation & transfers Eating Transport 9. Under direction of the therapist and charge nurse, performs routine physical therapy treatments Range of Motion Strengthening Exercises Ensures placement of restorative devices 10. Support for Nursing Staff Assist nursing staff with procedures, including setting up equipment and ensuring a clean and organized environment. Transport patients to and from diagnostic tests, procedures, and other units as required. Maintain a clean and safe environment by following infection control protocols and ensuring proper disposal of waste and soiled linens. Documentation As directed, assists the care team by collecting patient care data at designated and appropriate intervals on all assigned patients. Reports findings to licensed staff. Recognizes and accurately reports relevant patient information to licensed staff. Communicates appropriate information regarding patient safety and infection control to RN or nurse manager. Ensures that all aspects of patient care are documented, and that documentation is accurate and complete.
