Position Summary
The School of Nursing and Health Sciences at Holy Family University is seeking a qualified NurseAide Training Program Instructor. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in their related field, practical experience, and a passion for engaging and inspiring students. The NurseAide Training Program Instructor is responsible for delivering classroom, laboratory, and clinical instruction in accordance with state and federal regulations. The instructor ensures that nurseaide students are trained in the knowledge and skills required to provide quality care in long-term care and other healthcare settings.
Responsibilities
Deliver the state-approved nurseaide curriculum in classroom, lab, and clinical settings.
Supervise students during clinical training in a long-term care facility.
Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and competencies.
Evaluate student performance and provide constructive feedback.
Prepare and maintain lesson plans and instructional materials.
Ensure compliance with all federal and state regulatory requirements, including OBRA and Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) and Department of Health (DOH) guidelines.
Participate in curriculum reviews, staff meetings, and professional development.
Report incidents, concerns, and student issues to the Program Director in a timely manner.
Qualifications
Required:
Must be a Registered Nurse (RN) with a current, unencumbered license in the state of Pennsylvania.
Have at least one year of nursing experience in a long-term care facility (nursing home).
Must have completed a PA Department of Education-approved Teaching the Educator (TTE) program with proof of completion/certificate on hire.
Strong communication, teaching, and interpersonal skills.
Preferred:
Previous experience as a nurseaide instructor.
Experience with adult education or workforce training.
Familiarity with Pennsylvania NurseAide Competency Evaluation standards.
Work Environment:
Combination of classroom, laboratory, and clinical settings.
May require evening or weekend hours.
Must be able to stand, walk, and supervise students in clinical areas for extended periods.
Licensure and Certification:
Current Pennsylvania RN License (required)
Teaching the Educator (TTE) Certificate (required)
BLS Certification (required)

and teaching of patients with ostomies or patients with complex skin care needs.
Acquires and maintains current knowledge in nursing practice to deliver quality patient care.
The Certified Wound Continence and Ostomy Nurse provides mentoring for hospital staff in relation
to these issues and assists in setting guidelines for patient care. These services and processes are
performed in accordance with standards of care and hospital guidelines.
Leads, coordinates and carries out a wound care shared governance committee which includes
collection and reporting of data such as incidence, prevalence, and pressure injury prevention
interventions.
Conducts product review related to wound and ostomy care collecting recommendations, evaluations
and development of protocols for utilization.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
Education:
Bachelors of Nursing required; Masters in Nursing preferred

Experience:
Minimum 2 years' experience in medical surgical nursing.

Assists with simple exercise programs, application of prosthesis and braces, ambulation, and transfers as outlined.
Provides stimulation and encouragement towards independence and achieving the goals established by the professional staff and the patient's stated goal.

Education and experience requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent. Completion of CNA or Home Health Aide training program of 75 hours or greater.
If there has been a 24 month or greater gap in work as an aide, then there must be proof of a training competency evaluation program or attendance and completion of a renewal course.
Knowledge, skill, and ability requirements:
Ability to work independently in client's home. Maturity and ability to deal effectively with the demands of the job. Empathetic attitude toward the care of the sick. Ability to communicate effectively; reading, writing, and ability to understand and follow directions
Special requirements:
Proof of a valid driver's license and active auto insurance is required. Alternative transportation arrangements may be considered based on operational need.

Hourly Pay Range: $16.50 - $23.93This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCare's good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting.
