Responsibilities
Assist with daily living activities to make sure the patient is taken care of. This includes turning and ambulating patients and delivering food and beverages to patients throughout the day
Help patients with personal hygiene, such as providing bedpans and helping them bathe
Provide adjunct patient care as needed. This can include delivering ice packs and dressings to help relieve pain while in therapy or baths for soothing purposes after their session has ended
Process a wide range of information from other professionals and work with physicians, caregivers, and nurses
Closely monitor and record food intake, as well as urinary and fecal output, to be shared with key medical and nursing staff
Requirements
Valid certification as a CertifiedNursing Assistant (CNA).
Previous experience as a CNA is preferred, but not required.

BASIC PURPOSE:
The Hospitality Aide performs non-nursing, non-direct, hands on duties to enhance the quality of services provided for residents.
MAJOR WORK ACTIVITIES:

Ensures the safety of clients and self. Follows Universal Precautions and demonstrates safe hand washing techniques.
Observes the client's general physical, emotional, and mental status, and report all changes in the client's conditions, family situation, or incidents during shift immediately to agency coordinator, supervisor, and client's designated representative (as instructed by employer).
Maintain and improve skills through attendance with staff development programs and in-service education requirements.
