Job Summary
The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides direct patient care under the supervision of licensed nursing staff in a state-run healthcare facility, correctional institution, veterans' home, or other state-operated medical setting. This role involves assisting patients with daily activities, monitoring vital signs, maintaining hygiene, and ensuring patient comfort. CNAs play a crucial role in supporting nursing teams and improving the quality of care for patients.
Primary Responsibilities
Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and oral care. Help patients with mobility needs, including repositioning, transferring, and using assistive devices such as wheelchairs or walkers. Support patients with feeding and hydration, ensuring proper nutrition and dietary needs are met. Measure and record vital signs (temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration) and report abnormalities to nursing staff. Observe patients for changes in physical or emotional condition and report concerns to nurses or medical personnel. Record and document patient information accurately and timely in medical charts or electronic health records. Assist in setting up and cleaning medical equipment used in patient care. Follow infection control protocols to prevent the spread of disease and ensure a safe healthcare environment. Maintain cleanliness in patient rooms, restrooms, and common areas to support sanitary conditions.
Knowledge and Skills
Knowledge of patient hygiene, mobility assistance, and nutrition support. Ability to accurately measure and record temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure. Understanding of sanitation practices, personal protective equipment (PPE) use, and disease prevention. Ability to maintain accurate patient records and communicate observations effectively. Familiarity with basic life support (BLS) protocols, recognizing signs of distress, and alerting medical personnel.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required.
Licensure/Certifications
Must maintain an active Arkansas CNA certification and complete required continuing education as mandated by state regulations. The QBHP provides behavioral interventions and supports to children and adolescents as part of their mental health treatment plan. The person who accepts this position needs to be an excellent communicator, self-motivated, flexible, and demonstrate patience with others. Interventions are provided 1:1 or in small groups in a clinic, school, or home setting with children, adolescents and their parents/guardians.
Under the supervision and direction of a Therapist, the Program Coordinator or Clinical Director, the Mental Health Paraprofessional (aka Qualified Behavioral Health Provider (QBHP)) will provide therapeutic clinical and behavioral interventions to clients (primarily children and adolescents) and their families in the outpatient programs of Methodist Family Health as prescribed in their treatment plan. QBHPs are Mental Health Professional service extenders. The interventions provided may occur in clinic, community, school or home environments.
Primary Responsibilities:
Actively participate as a member of the client's treatment team providing pertinent input regarding client concerns, progress, etc.
Work collaboratively with client's network of supports and other types of providers involved with the client to improve clients' chances of positive outcomes in treatment (parents, teachers, probation/FINS officers, DHS case workers, ministers/youth leaders, care coordinators and other community agencies and organizations)
Provide clinical and behavioral interventions as outlined in a client's treatment plan and guided and supervised by the treating therapist, to assist the client in resolving or improving symptoms of mental and behavioral health disorders, that are disrupting the client's ability to function daily physically, emotionally, socially, and/or educationally. Interventions must be individualized, can take place one-on-one, in a group setting with peers or with the family or with the parents/caregivers of the client.
Respond to phone calls, contacts, and other communications from client, family members, guardians, outside agencies and referral sources in an appropriate, professional and timely manner.
Assist support staff as needed and appropriate in securing PCP referrals, parent/guardian signatures on necessary documents, reminding clients of appointment with physicians and therapists, obtaining updated demographic information, etc.
Provide transportation to client and family as needed and appropriate to help ensure compliance with treatment.
Attend regular staff meetings
Accurately document interventions and services provided in detail (both billable and nonbillable) in an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) in the format and timeframes outlined in the organization and department policies and procedures.
Check Alerts daily in the Electronical Medical Record to review and electronically sign necessary treatment documents sent to you.
Check emails a minimum of twice a day (morning and afternoon) and respond timely.

Qualifications:
Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age
Must have a minimum of 60 hours of college education, but a bachelor's degree in a Human Service field is preferred (Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, Child and Youth Development, Criminal Justice, etc.). Years of experience as a QBHP or similar role may be substituted for college hours/degree.
Must possess excellent communication and strong customer services skills

Ability as a self-motivator and the aptitude to work in a high stress fast paced position with a minimal amount of supervision.
The MHPP must meet the definition of a Qualified Behavioral Health Provider, as outlined by Arkansas Medicaid standards and regulations, which requires the completion of a minimum of 40 hours of paraprofessional training and successful completion of all written exams and competency-based skills demonstrations. This training will be provided during your first two weeks of employment.
The MHPP must also participate in the supervision requirements outlined by the Arkansas Medicaid standards and regulations to maintain certification as a Qualified Behavioral Health Professional including weekly face-to-face supervision, monthly observations, annual continuing education and completion of exam(s).

Assured and associates personal care of GA is looking for a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team. We are recruiting compassionate dependable self-driven caregivers. Having great customer service skills and being a excellent team player. We are a home health provider and the clients care will be provided in the clients home.
Responsibilities:
Around the clock hand washing, Provide hygiene and daily living assistance. This includes assisting with bathing, dressing, feeding, toileting transferring with a gait belt, Hoyer lift, sliding board etc. Assist and or set up patient with meals as needed. Ambulate, turn, and position patients as required. Light housekeeping, laundry, assist client to doctors' appointments.
Document electronically intakes and outputs of urine and specimens', glucose and vitals.
Home exercises, range of motion, ambulation.
Maintain patients' area clean and safe from hazardous items. HIPPA is required
Must report any changes to charge nurse.
Requirements:
Successful completion of a nursing assistant course or the equivalent
High school diploma or equivalent is required
CPR FIRST/ AID & AED (American heart Association only)
TB test result
Previous hospital, home health and or skilled facility experience with acceptable references preferred
Excellent customer service skills
Possible prolonged periods of sitting standing and walking
Must be able to lift 10 pounds and up
