Key Responsibilities: Animal Care and Support: Provide compassionate and attentive care to animals in the kennel, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met. Assist with walking, feeding, and administering medications as directed by veterinary staff. Observe animals for any signs of distress, illness, or behavior changes and promptly report concerns to veterinarians or veterinary technicians. Cleaning and Sanitation: Maintain a clean and sanitary kennel environment by regularly cleaning and disinfecting cages, runs, and common areas. Launder and sanitize bedding, towels, and other animal-related items. Properly dispose of waste and ensure waste areas are kept clean and organized. Animal Handling and Restraint: Safely and gently handle animals, following established protocols for restraint to ensure the safety of both animals and staff. Assist veterinary staff during procedures and examinations, providing support as needed. Client Interaction and Communication: Interact with pet owners in a professional and friendly manner, providing updates on their pets' well-being and addressing any questions or concerns. Assist with check-in and check-out procedures, ensuring a smooth experience for both clients and their pets. Facility Maintenance and Organization: Assist with maintaining the overall cleanliness and organization of the clinic/hospital, including exam rooms, treatment areas, and public spaces. Assist with inventory management, restocking supplies, and maintaining a well-organized supply storage area. Qualifications: Genuine passion for animals and a strong commitment to their welfare. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with clients, team members, and veterinarians. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions and protocols accurately. Physical capability to lift, carry, and restrain animals of varying sizes.
