Clinical Rotation Description:
This clinical rotation prepares Family Nurse Practitioner students for ambulatory care settings. MinuteClinic accomplishes this goal by not only meeting the academic standards of the school, but by providing students with a well-rounded experience that includes specialized online training, patient interaction, visibility to our EMR and the opportunity to work in a new and exciting model of health care. Our preceptors have a passion for teaching and sharing their knowledge. All of our providers have exceptional clinical skills and are experts in the operational skills required to run their own clinic. MinuteClinic?s student clinical program offers the most unique experience available, because you are doing more than just enhancing your clinical skills: Practical education including clinic operations, public relations, marketing, insurance procedures, and use of evidence based guidelines. Students will gain exposure in an ambulatory care setting and develop an understanding of how these clinics fit into the current structure of health care delivery. The hospice aide is a paraprofessional member of the interdisciplinary group who works under the supervision of a registered nurse and performs various services for a patient as necessary to meet the patient's personal needs and to promote comfort. The hospice aide is responsible for observing the patient, reporting these observations and documenting observations and care performed.
