MHS is currently seeking a part-time 10-month* Certified Medical or Nursing Assistant (CNA/CMA) to join the Dental Services Department. This position assists the dental clinic driver by accompanying students who have received dental sedation and safely escorting students to/from off-campus specialty appointments. This position provides emotional support, caregiving, palliative care, and supervision when accompanying/transporting students, while always maintaining personal/professional accountability, student safety, and confidentiality consistent with School protocols.
*A 10-month work schedule typically includes summer, holidays, and school breaks off. This position will average 15-20 hours per week (flex schedule) typically on Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Thursdays mornings. Hours may vary according to student appointments (7:15 am - Noon). Hourly pay rate: $17.74 - $23.68, pay is determined by experience. Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Valid current certification from a state approved Nursing Assistant training program or equivalent required.

Current CPR and First Aid certifications required.
Valid PA driver's license in good standing required.
OSHA trained for blood-borne pathogens.
Physically able to lift and assist sedated students.
Proficiency with Microsoft applications and other systems.

Qualifications
High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred, but not required.
Minimum age of 16. Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
Required Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing, or state certified CNA within four months of date into the position by being enrolled in a training program or in the process of obtaining certification through Endorsement. CNA training and certification required and provided by facility.

Hold responsibility for driving hospital commitment to medical quality, including compliance with Petco Medical SOPs and all applicable laws and regulations.
Understand and assure strict compliance of state practice act requirements for full-service veterinary hospitals.

Create veterinarian schedule, identify potential gaps and partner with Hospital Office Manager and field leadership to correct.

Review P&L monthly reporting, and partner with HOM and field Leadership to increase revenue growth and exceed financial targets set by finance team through ensuring a high level of both quality and efficiency.
Conduct regular review of hospital electronic medical records regarding patient decisions and provide feedback and direction to hospital veterinarians as a means to elevate patient care.
Ensure all client concerns and reportable incidents are addressed swiftly, partner with the Hospital Office Manager and field leadership in appropriate resolution.
Maintain and be responsible for ordering, inventory, recording, and reporting of all controlled substances and keep hospital in compliance with state and federal DEA regulations.
Promote a strong culture of safety for team, clients, and patients.
Partner with Hospital Office Manager for hospital radiation safety training and compliance.
Clinical Care duties:
Provide excellent patient care by performing physical examinations, diagnosing and treating diseases, and providing preventive care according to patient signalment, lifestyle and environment.
Utilize a problem-based approach that includes developing a complete problem list for every patient examined, a complete list of differential diagnoses for each problem identified, a complete diagnostic plan, and appropriate treatments based on interpretation of diagnostic test results leading to confirmed or suspected diagnoses.
Document all patient observations, findings of exams and diagnostics, treatments and medications, client interactions, and tentative and confirmed diagnoses in the medical record in a concise and detailed fashion, according to practice convention.
Perform routine and complex surgical procedures including (but not limited to) spays/neuters, exploratory laparotomy, and mass removals.
Perform routine and complex dental procedures including full dental examination, evaluation of dental radiographs, as well as simple and complex extractions and oral surgical procedures.
Develop treatment plans for patients undergoing daytime hospitalization utilizing a complete problem-based assessment. Transition patients to overnight care as needed and communicate effectively with referral hospitals and clients to ensure continuity of patient care.
Other Duties and Responsibilities:
Participate in rounds as incoming or exiting doctor at beginning and end of shifts.
Disseminate knowledge throughout team members to improve the level of care and communication provided by hospital, to both the patient and the client.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Hold and maintain any required state premise permits or hospital vendor accounts as needed.
Nature of Supervision:
In all activities related to the care of individual patients, the Hospital Medical Leader will take direct supervision from the Area Medical Director. The Hospital Medical Leader has discretion related to decisions regarding patient care, however, it is imperative that the Hospital Medical Leader upholds the standards set forth in the Petco Veterinary SOPs. The Hospital Medical Leader should expect to receive direction and guidance based on electronic medical record reviews from the Area Medical Director regarding patient decisions and should accept such feedback as a means to elevate patient care and client interactions in the hospital.
All hospital veterinarians should work together in a collegial fashion and are expected to behave in a professional and personable manner.

Problem solving is at the heart of veterinary medicine, and it is expected that any successful candidate will possess excellent problem-solving skills that allow expeditious diagnosis of patient problems.

Work Environment:
The majority of job duties are conducted in the Vetco Total Care veterinary full-service hospital. Position requires bending, kneeling, lifting (up to 30 pounds, as necessary), and standing for long periods of time. A large amount of this partner's time will be spent in direct contact with clients and their pets.

Graduate of an approved Nurse Aide Training Program

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
As CNA, you will:
Participate in and receive resident reports at start/end of shift.
Provide personal/nursing care in accordance with resident care plan.
Facilitate and conduct activities.
Monitor & respond to resident requests and needs in a dignified and respectful manner.
Maintain a clean and pleasant environment for residents.
Assist in preparing residents for various activities within and outside the center.
Ensure that all resident care is provided in a dignified and respectful manner.
Perform basic nursing care procedures for residents as required.
Create a clean, comfortable, and safe environment for residents and assure that their needs are met.
Ensure that resident's food service needs are met in a timely and compassionate manner.
Maintain resident documentation records for activities of daily living, restorative programs, and resident specific forms.
Maintain and work within established departmental, center, and corporate policies and procedures, objectives, quality improvement program, and safety, environmental, and infection control standards
Attend and participate in scheduled training, educational classes, and orientation programs to maintain certification and enhance quality of care.
Perform other related activities as assigned or requested.

ChristianaCare Primary Care at Concord Health Center is currently seeking a motivated, team player who is self-driven in their career as a Medical Assistant. Primary Care at Concord Health Center is a growing family practice located at 161 Wilmington West Chester Pike in Chadds Ford, Pennsylvania. Primary Care at Concord is home to a dynamic team of 3 physicians, 3 physician assistants, 2 registered nurses, 5 medical assistants and one office assistant. Primary Care at Concord Health Center sees an average of 100+ patients daily, ranging in ages from neonates to geriatrics. You will be one of a team of five medical assistants in this role.

Work Schedule:
Monday from 7am to 7pm
Tuesday through Thursday from 7am to 6pm
Friday from 7am to 4:30pm
Duties / Responsibilities:
As a medical assistant you will be involved with greeting and supporting patients both virtually and on-site within the practice, preparing them for virtual visits, performing point of care testing, injections, medication administration, and EKGs, assisting clinicians with examinations and procedures, preparing exam/treatment rooms with necessary supplies and equipment, completing patient-specific paperwork, ensuring EMR is up-to-date, handling patient call backs, sterilizing medical equipment, handling prior authorizations, referrals, and medical refills, scheduling tests, procedures, and surgeries, performing quality control on POCT equipment, providing documentation assistance, performing clerical duties, troubleshooting patient issues with video visits, and supporting patients in joining ChristianaCare's Patient Portal.

Education Requirements:
High School Graduate or GED required.
A graduate of a recognized Medical Assistant Program or hold current Medical Assistant Certification by a national organization accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) or the American National Standards Institute (ANSI).
