Follow resident assignment schedule as made out by charge nurse, or Unit Manager; this requires the ability to be mentally alert and communicate verbal and/or written information regarding resident's condition and care.
Walk with ambulatory residents or push in a wheel chair as required.
Ability to safely perform movements such as pushing, pulling, lifting, bending, kneeling, reaching and lifting up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodations; manual dexterity required performing tasks in assisting residents with their personal needs.
Support meal periods. Transport patients and residents to and from the dining room. Take meal orders in dining room. Pass trays to appropriate patient or resident ensuring accuracy of meal and delivery within 10 minutes to ensure proper temperature of food that is consumed.
After proper training, feed residents in Dining Room only. Provide snacks as requested after ensuring snack is within plan of care by checking with the Charge Nurse.
Answer call lights in a timely manner; determine if request is non-clinical. Examples of non-clinical care would be, helping with TV, telephone, getting a personal item for a resident, giving them a blanket or pillow, giving them a food tray or snack. Be alert to resident's comforts and needs. Answer their requests promptly and report to NAC any clinical requests. Report back to patient or resident that their request and/or message has been passed on to a NAC. Use tactful, appropriate communications in sensitive and emotional situations.
Observe all residents and report anything unusual or abnormal to Charge Nurse.
Fill water pitchers and pass ice water to residents.
Ability to safely care for residents in a patient and respectful manner.

Safely utilize equipment; report any equipment needing service or repair immediately.
