Description of Responsibilities
Under the direct supervision of a Registered Dietitian, the Enteral Technician enters and prepares Enteral feeding orders for filling and dispensing, maintains work areas, creates DWOs and sends for signature, and enters medication profiles in a timely manner.

Responsibilities Include the Following:
1. Enteral order entry, initial fills and refills:
Places calls to the patient to coordinate a timely and accurate delivery of enteral formula, equipment and supplies.
Prepares labels and generates delivery tickets.
Coordinate care with RD, MD and home health agencies.
Obtain updated weights, formula/supply inventory, compliance, and/or any enteral feeding issues and relay to Registered Dietitian as appropriate.
2. Perform data entry:
Perform data entry of patient medication profiles and patient chart audits
Discharge patients from CPR+ at the end of therapy
3. Enteral team Liaison:
Act as liaison for the Enteral team with the Nutrition Support department
Communicate with doctors, nurses, and hospitals regarding patient care
Able to communicate well with the pharmacy staff, nutrition support team and supervisor
4. Create detailed written orders (DWOs) and send for signature.
Minimum Qualifications:
1. Organizational skills sufficient to maintain consistently accurate records.
2. Ability to evaluate options and to make efficient decisions.
3. Current knowledge of all applicable state and federal pharmacy laws, rules and regulations.
4. Computer skills that include proficiency with spreadsheets and use of the internet, as well as word processing, and efficient use of the internet and e-mail.
Ability to use good judgment and work with minimal direction.
Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to express technical issues in “layman” terms.
Education and/or Experience:
1. Must have a High School diploma or Graduation Equivalent Diploma (G.E.D.) or Higher.
2. Licensed as a Pharmacy Technician in California preferred / not required.
3. Possess and exercise advanced level of accuracy.
4. Minimum of 3 years' retail pharmacy experience preferred.
5. Home Infusion/enteral dispensing experience preferred.
6. Basic knowledge of insurance, authorization, and billing.

This position has an in-depth understanding of patient care policies and regulations and is comfortable working with specific populations of patients, including elderly patients and those with special needs.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
1. Assists with resident/patient care needs and comforts including but not limited to:
* Assists or gives oral hygiene and mouth care.
* Assists with bathing functions and dressing/undressing as necessary.
* Assists with nail care, shaving and hair care.
* Assists with lifting, turning, positioning and transporting residents.
* Makes both occupied and unoccupied bed (as assigned).
* Keeps residents/patients dry (i.e. change gown, clothing, linen, etc.) when they become soiled or wet.
* Assists resident/patient with bowel or bladder functions.
* Checks resident/patients frequently to assure that their personal care needs are being met.
2. Assists with nursing functions as follows:
* Measures and records vital signs.
* Weighs and measures residents/patients.
* Collects Specimens (i.e. urine, stool, sputum)
* Prepares and gives enemas.
* Provides daily indwelling catheter care.
* Performs diabetic urine testing.
* Turns bedfast residents/patients at least every two hours.
* Provides daily range of motion exercises.
* Assists with care of dying residents.
* Maintains accurate intake and output records.
* Noting observations of patient behavior, including complaints, or physical symptoms to nurses.
3. Performs food service functions including:
* Prepares resident/patients for meals (i.e. take to bathroom, wash hands, oral care, take to and from dining room, etc.).
* Serves food trays. Assists with feeding as indicated.
* Records the residents/patients food fluid intake.
* Serves between meal and bedtime snacks.
* Keeps resident's/patient's water pitchers clean and filled with fresh water on each shift.
* Performs after meal care (i.e. clean residents/patients hands, face, clothing, brush teeth, take to bathroom, etc.).
* Notes and reports changes in resident/patient eating habits, especially those on diabetic diet.
* Assists with keeping nursing and resident/patient care area neat, sanitary and orderly.
* Floats to the OVCH Acute Care Facility four (4) times each year.
* Appropriately records and charges for supplies.
* Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required:
* Current CertifiedNursingAssistant (CNA) certification.
* Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Preferred:
* High school Diploma or equivalent (GED).
* Six (6) months of CNA experience performing Nursing/Patient Care duties in an acute care setting or skilled nursing facility.

The Program
Interim Housing is a county-funded Department of Mental Health (DMH) program for unhoused individuals with severe mental health problems. The Interim Housing program provides temporary housing and connects individuals to important resources in the community, with the ultimate goal of linking individuals to permanent housing in their community.
The Position
The Resident Aide ensures that the interim housing site is a safe, healthy and therapeutic environment. Resident Aides are responsible for assisting clients with increasing independence with activities of daily living and assists clients in adhering to program policies and procedures. This position reports to the Interim Housing Program Supervisor. A successful Resident Aide takes responsibility for the health and safety of our clients and is able to develop strong rapport with clients, encouraging them to engage in treatment.
Essential Functions:
Assist clients with increasing independence with activities of daily living
Teach skills related to activities of daily living (ADLs). Skills to include but not be limited to medication management, personal hygiene, problem solving, prosocial communication, cooking and cleaning.
Accompany clients into the field and assist them in accessing needed community resources, as needed.
Ensure the interim housing site is a safe and healthy environment
Ensure that clients have access to basic needs. Facilitate meal service and linkage to needed hygiene items.
Serve as a first responder to crisis situations. Actively assist clients in crisis through use of de-escalation, active listening, and problem solving skills. Escalate client issues to supervisor or emergency personnel as appropriate.
Complete basic housekeeping tasks to maintain cleanliness and dignity for residents including but not limited to: sweeping/mopping, disinfecting surfaces, changing linens, washing dishes, taking out trash
Ensure that the housing site is well maintained and supplies are well stocked. Alert Interim Housing Program Supervisor when items are in need of repair and/or supplies need to be ordered.
Support the housing site in maintaining a therapeutic treatment environment
Acts as a role model and guide for clients. Encourage participation in treatment activities and self care tasks. Interactions with clients are consistent with harm reduction, trauma informed, client-centered care, and recovery oriented care approaches.

This role focuses on providing behavioral support in a school setting, specifically leverage implementation of Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA), with students ranging in grade level from pre-K to high school. It it a great benefit if you have previous experience supporting students with special needs and have worked in a 1:1 or 1:multiple capacity
Our providers are assigned to cases as either 1:1 supports, or as a general classroom aide.
As a 1:1 support: you would be going to each class with your student to provide behavioral and educational support throughout the day. 1:1 supporters are responsible to ensure their student is on task and working towards their behavioral goals.
General classroom supports: providers who are assigned to work with a single teacher or classroom. In this role, providers will support wherever they are needed most by the teacher. Typically every day looks different in this position, and you may be working with several different students throughout your day.

Previous experience working in a school setting preferred
