This position requires availability between the hours of 8:00am - 5:00pm. Compensation: $25.22 - $26.48 an hour Duties and Responsibilities Effectively communicates with participants, families, staff and other agencies and departments. Drives a specially equipped van to deliver physically limited persons to varied destinations. Assures wheelchair lifts and tie down equipment are properly operated and participants are delivered to appointments in a timely manner. Follows established schedules, adjusts schedules to meet unanticipated changes, and determines the safest and most efficient pick-up and delivery routes. Assists passengers on and off the van in a safe and courteous manner. Will work with medical equipment and manage other emergencies that may arise. Participates as a member of the Interdisciplinary Team. Attends staff meetings and takes part in participant care planning. Communicates any changes in participant condition to team members. Observes each participant for any change in physical, mental, emotional and social functioning and shall report such changes to the licensed nurse.
