Your Life as a Hospice Aide, C.N.A.-Homecare
Your role is very important to our patients and organization. We meet our patients where they are and this position will serve our patients in Wichita, Archer, Clay, Jack, Young and Montague counties. We will rely on you to ensure that all patients you visit will receive provision or assistance with personal care as a part of the total plan of care including: personal hygiene, bathing, dressing , feeding and toileting. To ensure you are meeting and exceeding the patient and families expectations, you are required to communicate with an assigned RN for direction of the best manner to provide care. At the end of your day, we require you to take pride in your efforts and ensure to share your day and what you did for your patients to the assigned RN.. We are a team and it is your role to communicate any changes or updates of the patients conditions. We want to share your extraordinary care and need to make sure that we are able to process billing. You are responsible for documented your care as you provide care.. This documentation should paint the picture of your patient, so if another team member is given the honor of serving that patient they are aware of their expectation and know what is currently working. Normally, we will be able to see our patients between 8:00 and 5:00 from Monday to Friday; however there may be needs of our patient on weekends and holidays and you will be in a rotation to provide care as needed. As a Hospice Aide, your goal should be that you take your time with all your patients and provide them with the extra loving care and that just by looking at the patient, the family or caregiver knows you have been there.

How you will change lives As a Patient Care Technician (PCT) at US Renal Care, you will be an integral part of a cross-functional team providing care and delegated activities of treatment to patients. What you'll be doing
Patient care. You will work directly with patients to provide safe, comfortable, and high-quality dialysis treatment. Responsibilities include gathering patient stats before and after treatment, initiating treatment, monitoring patients during treatment, terminating treatment, and collecting patient blood samples per physician orders.
Technician Duties. You will ensure quality comes first by preparing machines for hemodialysis treatments, cleaning and disinfecting machines after treatment, and conducting machine safety checks and logging results for quality control, ensuring all protocols and regulations are followed.
Safety and Quality. You will use appropriate safety measures, including personal protective equipment. Working under the supervision of a Charge Nurse, you will adhere to all company policies, procedures, and state/federal laws and regulations. You will participate in all required staff meetings and continuing education offerings.
What we're looking for
* High school graduate or equivalent.
* Desire to work in healthcare and care for patients.
* Previous healthcare experience in dialysis, phlebotomy, or as a CNA is a plus.
* Must be comfortable mixing acids and bicarbonate according to protocol.
* Ability to distinguish all primary colors.
Other requirements
* Successful completion of USRC training program approved by the Medical Director, including demonstrated competency; this includes successful completion of USRC training course in the theory and practice of hemodialysis within 8 weeks of hire.
* CPR certification required within 90 days of hire or as required by the state.
* Patient Care Technician certification must be obtained through a state certification program or national commercially available certification program within 18 months of hire date and maintained in good standing thereafter. Specific state requirements may be applicable and required.
