JOB SUMMARY
The CertifiedNursingAssistant (CNA) provides each of their assigned residents with routine daily nursing care and services following the current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern long-term care and assisted living facilities. The CertifiedNursingAssistant (CNA) ensures that the highest degree of quality care can be provided to our residents at all times.
Part-Time Day Shift
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Receive and report resident status at the beginning and end of each shift and as needed
Provide personal care to residents per their individualized plan of care
Document all pertinent information regarding care as assigned
Report all changes in residents' conditions to the Nursing Supervisor as soon as practical
Prepare residents for meals and assist to and from the dining areas
Record residents' fluid/food intake
Assist residents with toilet, dental, hair, and bath care
Keep residents dry and clean
Make room checks and verify resident location
Keep resident's rooms neat and clean
Assist residents with dressing/undressing as necessary
Prepare residents for activity and social events (church, services, parties, visitors, etc.)
Transport residents to/from appointments, activity and social programs, etc
Assist residents to walk with or without self-help devices as instructed
Perform vital signs, B/Ps, weights and other trained procedures as directed by management
Complete prevention and restorative care that includes but not limited to PROM, AROM, ambulation, transferring, bathing, grooming, and all other ADL care
Assist in turning, positioning, and repositioning of residents
Demonstrate a passion for caring as evidenced by interaction with co-workers, residents, families, and visitors
Maintain and support a culture of compliance, ethics and integrity
Maintain confidentiality and rights of resident, family, employee, and facility information in compliance with PHI HIPAA policies and applicable regulations
Maintain safe work environment and exhibits safe work practices
Perform all other duties as assigned

RESPONSIBILITIES
Hospital Corpsmen (HM) assist health care professionals in providing medical care to Navy personnel and their families. They may function as clinical or specialty technicians, medical administrative personnel and healthcare providers at medical treatment facilities. Specifically, Hospital Corpsmen may be called upon to:
Perform emergency medical treatment on SEALs, Seabees, Marines and other military personnel injured in the field, as well as on Sailors aboard ships or aircraft
Perform emergency dental treatment as well as construct dental crowns and bridges, process
dental X-rays and operate X-ray equipment
Serve as an operating room technician for general and specialized surgery
Help administer a wide range of preventive care and medications, including immunizations and intravenous fluids
Conduct physical examinations and assisting in the treatment of diseases and injuries
Maintain patient treatment records, conduct research and perform clinical tests
Assist Navy Physicians and Nurses in a variety of medical fields, including, but not limited to: radiology, physical therapy, phlebotomy, dental, surgery, family medicine, pathology, womens health and more

Under general supervision, assists in the delivery of patient care/treatment and provides clerical and administrative support. Essential Job Functions

* Screens incoming telephone calls for appropriate referrals to nurse, physician and/or APP.

* Compiles statistical data for reports as directed.
* Attends required meetings and participates in committees as requested.
* Receives and prepares patient for examination and treatment as directed. Obtains and records history and vital signs. May assist in preparing for minor procedures and physical exams. Charts and documents in medical record. Collects and appropriately labels laboratory specimens as needed per organization and department standards.
* Cleans and disinfects equipment per Billings Clinic infection control guidelines.
* May administer various vaccines per department standards/needs and individual employee leveling grid.
* Provides instruction to patients as directed by physician, APP or as documented in department policies and procedures.
* Performs all other duties as assigned or as needed to meet the needs of the department/organization.
* May assist physicians and APPs in preparing for minor procedures and physical exams.

* Completion of the following classes:
* Personal Accountability - within first six months
* What is Operational Excellence One - within first year of employment

* Completion of 54 LMS modules within six (6) months of hire (proof of completion of college medical terminology with a C or better; may be used in lieu of modules)

JOB SUMMARY
The CNA II works in conjunction with the Nurse Director, Clinical Care Supervisor, RN and LPN. The CertifiedNurseAssistant II performs a variety of skills/tasks for predictable residents/patients/clients with limited risk of complications and change. The CNA II may not be delegated CNA II skills for acutely ill patients. The CNA II works under the direction of a licensed nurse who must follow the principles of delegation. CNA II work is reflective of CCH mission, vision, and values. The CNA II will integrate departmental goals for improvement across the care continuum. The CNA II practices within the framework of the WyomingNurse Practice Act, and the National Patient Safety Goals.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
CNA II skills may include but are not limited to the following:
Oxygen therapy
Sterile Technique
Wound care
Oropharyngeal suctioning
Tracheostomy care for patients with well-established tracheostomy
Assisting with peripheral IV fluids (“Assisting with peripheral IVs refers to the set-up of equipment and discontinuing IVs. It does not include venipuncture or hanging IVs”)

Removes a urinary catheter
