Assists patients nurses physicians and others with medication order requests and pharmacy related needs. Monitors stock inventory levels and medication expiration dates for pharmacy areas and replenishes medications as needed. Conducts monthly/periodic inspections of patient care/department areas. Fills and replaces medications in the automated medication dispensing machines and transports to appropriate nursing unit(s). Prepares mini bags large volume parenterals mini bag plus etc. using aseptic techniques including STATS. Delivers and retrieves medications including narcotics and pharmacy supplies to/from patient care and satellite pharmacy areas. Compounds products in bulk or per individual order and prepares private stock orders and individual unit-of-use packaging when not otherwise available. Completes and maintains controlled substance inventory log/records. Participates in orienting new Pharmacy Technicians to department operations and the computer system. Maintains clean and orderly workstations.
