HOURLY RANGE: $24.25 - $31.45 DISTINGUISHING FEATURES OF THE CLASS: The work involves assisting licensed pharmacists in the dispensing and compounding of drugs in the Pharmacy Department at the Erie County Medical Center Corporation (ECMCC). The incumbent assists in compounding, preparing and labeling drugs used to fill patient medication orders. The work is performed under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist. PHARMACY TECHNICIAN Perform duties to prepare and dispense prescription medications and supplies under the direction of a Registered Pharmacist, in a fast-paced Long Term Care Pharmacy where attention to accuracy, regulatory compliance, and efficiency are critical to patient safety and care, working within the limits of standard or accepted practice. Sort and stock inventory of medications, vials, and dispensing supplies and return excess stock or unused medications to inventory. · Responsible for prioritizing and navigating the print pharmacy system's print queue. Print medication labels and check for inventory balance on medications in the pharmacy ordering system. · Complete adherence pack corrections and provide basic support of the adherence packing machine as needed. · Maintain clean and safe work environment. · Assist logistics team with the packaging and shipping of medications and supplies as required, to maintain workflow and commitments to customers. · Perform other related duties as assigned.
