The Lead, Pharmacy Technician is responsible for monitoring and prioritizing the medication dispensing workflow at the market level for all Medication and Pharmacy Technicians. In accordance with state and federal regulations, the incumbent in this role assists the Medication/Pharmacy Techs as well as, physicians and clinicians in the performance of dispensing functions under the Physician Dispensing protocol while adhering to company policies and procedures. He/She facilitates the implementation of policies and procedures and ensures compliance with quality standards. The Lead, Pharmacy Technician ensures that Medication/Pharmacy Technicians have the resources and training necessary to perform their jobs effectively.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Participates in and assists with implementing processes that improve Medication Adherence in our Centers.
Aids in the implementation of pharmacy objectives as determined by market leadership in partnership with the corporate Medication COE team.
Takes part in the employment cycle of Pharmacy/Medication Techs by participating in the recruitment process, screening of candidates and interviews.
Provides day-to-day oversight of Pharmacy/ Medication Techs led by the Care Supervisors in partnership with the Center Manager.
Trains new and existing personnel on medication dispensing and medication adherence processes.
Meets with Med/Pharm Techs on a weekly basis or as needed to ensure a successful and efficient Medication Adherence/HEDIS Part D program.
Collaborates with the Market Clinical Manager to balance Pharm/Med Tech staffing across the market to ensure adequate coverage.
Reviews medication incident reports and identifies opportunities for improvement to prevent future errors.
Escalates significant issues to the attention of market leadership with recommendations for solutions while maintaining open communication with Medication COE for additional support, tools and resources.
Collaborates with market leadership to support the growth and development of Med/Pharm Techs by providing continual feedback regarding performance.
Other responsibilities may include:
Participates in quality self-assessments. Participates in the development of action plans for identified areas of opportunity.
Meets with Medication COE, HEDIS and Clinical Operations/Quality on a monthly basis or as needed to report feedback.
Performs other duties as assigned and modified at manager's discretion.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Knowledgeable and trained on all medication dispensing processes under the Physician Dispensing protocol in accordance with state and federal regulations
Knowledge of ChenMed, JenCare and or Dedicated Senior Medical Centers products, services, standards, policies and procedures
Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality

Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Ability to communicate and work well with providers, patients and other team members in a professional manner
Great interpersonal, problem-solving and customer service skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ability and willingness to travel locally 80% of the time; regionally and nationwide (up to 20%) to assigned markets for training, med dispensing support and periodic check-ins
Spoken and written fluency in English
PAY RANGE:
$18.5 - $26.45 Hourly
The posted pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for this position. Final compensation will depend on a variety of factors including but not limited to experience, education, geographic location, and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for a bonuses or commissions.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist the pharmacist in providing timely, efficient, cost effective, and appropriate pharmaceutical care to the patient
Refill patient medication bins through robot cart fill and manual picks; update carts by including new orders, removing discontinued medications, and transferring medications. Update labeling of bins on admission, transfer, and discharge of patients
Deliver and exchange 24-hour cart fill to nursing units at scheduled times. Check medication storage areas for discontinued and discharged patient medications; ensure that returned medications are placed back into stock
Reorder medications in short supply and restock the picking station and other areas of the pharmacy
Send prepared medications via pneumatic tube system. Any medication that cannot be tubed is delivered to the appropriate location on the nursing unit
Manage automated dispensing cabinet inventory, including accurate selection and loading of medications
Ensure that medications are stored properly and that only in date medications are stored. Remove discontinued medication
Receive and check incoming supplier order(s)
Prepare IV medications using aseptic techniques and in following processes in full compliance with USP 795, 797, and 800 federal regulations
Use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and closed system transfer devices (as needed) for the preparation of chemotherapy and other hazardous medications
Education and Experience Requirements:
High School Diploma required
Pharmacy TechnicianCertification Board (PTCB) certification required unless enrolled in a PharmD program.
Applicants with Pharmacy Technician experience are encouraged to apply and will be required to obtain PTCB certification within 1 year of employment.

We seek a Pharmacy Technician to support all functions of the Genoa mental health and specialty pharmacy primarily through dispensing medical prescriptions and performing necessary clerical duties while under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist.
Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:30am - 4pm (Lunch 12:30pm - 1pm)

Primary Responsibilities:
Provides exceptional customer service to all consumers and members of the clinic staff
Fills prescription orders and makes them available for verification under direct supervision of the registered pharmacist
Orders, receives and stores incoming pharmacy supplies
Receives and processes wholesaler medication orders
Verifies medication stock and enters data in computer to maintain inventory records
Works with the Pharmacist to assist in the pharmacy functions and keeping the pharmacy in compliance with all federal and state requirements
Performs various clerical duties relating to the department
Communicates with strong professional verbal and written communication skills
Other duties as assigned
