Responsibilities
+ Accurately enter and process medication orders in the pharmacy operating system to maintain efficient workflow and reduce prescription bottlenecks.

+ Triage and sort incoming medication orders based on delivery deadlines and priority.
+ Process all new medication orders-including controlled substances, leave‐of‐absence orders, and customer‐specific fulfillment requests-within required delivery timelines.
+ Assist with the pulling, picking, and packaging of medications from designated storage areas, including prepack racks.
+ Prepack frequently used medications, apply labels, and store them appropriately during low‐volume periods.
+ Apply labels to blister cards, ensure accuracy through product scanning, and alert the pharmacist of any items that fail to scan properly.
+ Support the processing and proper disposal or recycling of returned medications in accordance with procedure.
+ Maintain clean, organized workstation areas and restock supplies as needed to support daily production.
+ Complete all tasks in full compliance with HIPAA regulations, state and federal laws, and current company policies and procedures.
+ Follow departmental guidelines for safety, attendance, dress code, and general operational standards.
+ Work overtime, weekends, and holidays when required to meet department needs.

Short Description
A Nuclear Medicine Technologist II ability to operate a PETCT and SPECT/CT unit under the guidelines of the State of NJ.
Maintains additional licensure to perform CT portion of the Nuclear Medicine exam with either an X-ray license of a NJDEP Limited or a Fusion Imaging CT Technology license.
All NM exams must be acquired and processed safe and efficiently as outlined in the department procedure manual. All studies must be of optimal standards. This includes general NM exams along with SPECT/CT and PETCT imaging.
Is responsible for completing all radiation safety measures in accordance with the hospital NJDEP Radioactive materials license.
Performs all quality control measures on all instrumentation as per manufacturer's guidelines.
Is able to assist physicians in radioactive therapeutic treatments in a safe manner according to Radiation Safety guidelines.
Is proficient in IV placement for procedures.

The Compounding Pharmacy Technician (CPT) will work collaboratively with other CPT's to make compounds under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist. The qualified CPT must be focused on achieving individual and team productivity goals while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Using our computerized compounding system, weigh and record the chemicals included in the formula and then combine the chemicals into the appropriate dosage form as requested by the prescription, under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist
Properly use all equipment in the lab that is necessary to make the compound
Calibrate and ensure the proper documentation of scales, electronic meters, etc.
Follow all safety and USP guidelines for preparation of compounded medications
Required Education and Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Compounding, tableting or cGMP experience preferred, but not required
Must be capable of wearing all protective gear (gown, hair bonnet, mask, gloves, goggles)
Must be able to follow gowning/garbing procedures (cannot wear makeup, cannot have a beard, must remove jewelry before sterile compounding)
Must possess strong verbal, written, and oral communication skills
Must be able to work independently as well as with a team
Must possess problem-solving skills
Ability to recognize priorities and take action; make productive use of time
Must exhibit punctuality and low absenteeism
Able to sit and/or stand 8-10 hours or more per day as needed

In these areas Wegmans may hire individuals prior to them obtaining the necessary qualifications, while supporting them through the process. At participating locations, Board Certified Pharmacy Technicians will earn a $.50/hour shift differential.
