As a vital part of our Pharmacist team, you will be responsible for filling medications for facilities, workplace clinics, independent patients, and mail delivery patients. Pharmacists will be responsible for verifying all orders for accuracy. Additionally, you will maintain a positive and pleasant demeanor with all customers and colleagues. Note: We are seeking a Kentucky Licensed Pharmacist that will sit in Indianapolis, IN location. Responsibilities: Assess the identity, strength and purity of medications. Review prescriptions to assure accuracy, ascertain the needed ingredients, and evaluate their suitability. Compound and dispense medications following prescriptions issued by physicians or other authorized medical practitioners. Provide information and advice regarding drug interactions, side effects, dosage and proper medication storage. Analyze prescribing trends to monitor patient compliance to prevent excessive usage or harmful interactions. Plan, implement, and maintain procedures for mixing, packaging, and labeling pharmaceuticals, according to policy and legal requirements, to ensure quality, security, and proper disposal. Open the pharmacy on a daily basis and be present per state board regulations.
