what will you do?
Process prescription requests while building trusted customer relationships and demonstrating patience, empathy, care, and compassion
Troubleshoot rejected insurance claims and address issues to achieve the best outcome for customers
Follow department processes and procedures to input information, dispense medication, and verify information
Ensure the department is running smoothly by assisting with tasks, maintaining appropriate inventory levels through ordering, and rotating and stocking drugs and other supplies
Properly handle products, use equipment, keep accurate logs, and follow sanitation practices
Required Qualifications:
Computer skills
Ability to perform basic mathematical computations in order to perform data entry and fill prescriptions without error
State specific - may require Pharmacy Technician certification
New Jersey applicants must be at least 18 years of age and have a High School diploma or equivalent

Provides instruction to other pharmacy technicians concerning proper preparation of sterile products. Evaluates newly assigned personnel for technical proficiency in preparation of sterile products. Provides comprehensive drug information regarding the stability of extemporaneously compounded oral and parental medications, usual doses of common medications, drug availability formulary status, strength and/or concentration, and customary packaging. Participates in research necessary to develop new preparations, e.g., compatibility studies and dosage form evaluations. Insures that pharmacy supplies are properly maintained. Interpret physicians' order and perform necessary steps to input, fill and dispense prescriptions within the parameters established by the Pharmacy Policy and Procedures Manual.
Review and prepare orders for intravenous additive solutions, utilizing sterile technique and in accordance with infection control procedures.
Assemble drugs and supplies for distribution to the Primary Care Center (PCC).
Answer routine questions concerning proper administration and use of medications, drug interactions and incompatibilities, availability of drugs, and unit of use. Convey necessary information to the hospital staff and/or patients to ensure correct use.
Maintain adequate levels of working stock, ensuring that all supplies are properly stored, and advise supply personnel of any shortages of medications or supplies.
Check drug supplies to ensure that medications are in date and properly maintained.
Maintain the required records and accountability documents reflecting the issuance and receipt of narcotic and controlled substances.
Implement all departmental policies and procedures and participate in quality assurance activities.
Assist pharmacists in providing guidance and training for pharmacy technician's students and inexperienced technicians.
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum of one year as a Pharmacy Technician within the past year.

The Pharmacy Technician is responsible for receiving, packaging, labeling, and shipping prescription orders accurately and timely on a daily basis at our newest pharmacy and distribution center in Northlake, Texas.
We are looking for a Pharmacy Technician to join our team at our Pharmacy Warehouse located off Dale Earnhardt Blvd in Northlake, TX 76262. Must have reliable transportation.
This position requires 40 hours per week during our operating hours of Monday through Friday from 7:00 am-5:00 pm CT.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Assist the pharmacists with daily order dispensing in accordance with pharmacy policies and procedures
Unit dose compliance packaging and tablet fill
Pick and label prescription orders
Package and ship orders
Assist in Production duties by building compliance units for top veterinary care products (flea, tick, heartworm preventatives) from bulk packages into individual single unit envelopes
Restock and clean workstations in preparation for following shift
Occasional replenishment of supplies such as box making, assembly of box carts as necessary
Participate in staff meetings and training sessions
Rotate between stations within pharmacy
WHAT YOU BRING:
Must be currently licensed as a Pharmacy Technician Trainee or Certified Pharmacy Technician in TX state
Pharmacy technician or warehouse experience, preferred

You Will

- This position will require working with Hazardous Drugs (HD) and would require that Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) be worn for the length of working with these drugs. These items would include gloves, respiratory protection, gown and other items as required.
