Assists the pharmacist in the preparation, filling, and delivery of medications and other tasks associated with dispensing. Maintains adequate stock of medication and supplies, uses safety precautions when stocking; ensures proper filling techniques are used when preparing medications. Disseminates any information (drug shortages, availability, pricing, etc.) in a timely manner to the pharmacist and peers. Re-establishes priorities based on workload and pharmacist's directions. Ensures insurance adjudication and pre-authorizations are processed in a timely manner. Ensure confidentiality and HIPAA compliance at all times.
