Responsibilities: * Assess the identity, strength and purity of medications. * Review prescriptions to assure accuracy, ascertain the needed ingredients, and evaluate their suitability. * Compound and dispense medications following prescriptions issued by physicians or other authorized medical practitioners. * Provide information and advice regarding drug interactions, side effects, dosage and proper medication storage. * Analyze prescribing trends to monitor patient compliance to prevent excessive usage or harmful interactions. * Plan, implement, and maintain procedures for mixing, packaging, and labeling pharmaceuticals, according to policy and legal requirements, to ensure quality, security, and proper disposal. * Open the pharmacy on a daily basis and be present per state board regulations. * Other duties as assigned Qualifications: * Active license from the Kentucky State Board of Pharmacy Working Conditions: * Normal working hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM, with additional time as required based on daily workloads. * Pharmacists will also be placed in a Saturday and on call rotation to support customers and production schedules.
