The full time Pharmacy Technician at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, Ca will perform a variety of tasks under the supervision of a pharmacist. Compiling Invoices and Coding Invoices 340B program management: Well partner and Walgreens weekly verifications on any 340B clam in question. Assisting Pharmacy Manager in preparing all documentation requested by auditors. Contracting & Following up on status of contracts with insurances PBM (Pharmacy Benefit Manager): LA Care, Health Net, Molina, Anthem, Care 1st, Optum, DST etc. Processing prescriptions: Deciphering Rx, Typing, Billing, Filling and Dispensing. Assisting Patients and Providers with non-formulary medications and Rejections: PAP (Patient Assistance Program), PA (Prior Authorizations), calling PBM for early overwrite, Vacation Overwrite and calling PBM to check on formulary EMR management: verifying patient data EPIC (Demographics, medications, appointments, referral and encounters). Initiate Patients Assistance Programs (PAPs) applications and documentation for appropriate medications. Manage medication orders including receiving, logging, labeling, and stocking. Answer and address incoming calls, inputting requests from the patient into the EHR system.
