Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
* Read prescriptions, verify orders are complete and ready to fill and use software to type new prescriptions and create labels.
* Communicate politely and discreetly; clarify questions and refer any medication related questions to the pharmacist, assist pharmacist with particular patient communication needs, for example, patient's literacy level, comfort with issue, etc.
* Translate medication information between patients and pharmacist as needed.

* Maintain security of the work area; pharmacy locked when pharmacist not present.
* Maintain the highest possible degree of accuracy with all written, spoken and typed information.

HIPAA Requirements:
The Pharmacy Technician I will have access to PHI in the course of carrying out his/her duties. The Pharmacy Technician I will use the PHI when gathering personal information to fill prescriptions, bill insurance or charge patients, maintain up to date pharmacy records, and apply for patient assistance program medications. Applying the minimum necessary standard of HIPAA, the designated record sets to which this employee will have access include: the practice management system demographic and scheduling functions, information in the pharmacy management system as determined by the pharmacy director, the patient profile, and patient assistance program records. The pharmacy staff may also perform the duties of an interpreter and will follow HIPAA guidelines as per that .
Board of the Pharmacy Requirements:
* Must obtain a Pharmacy Technician license from the Oregon Board of Pharmacy within 60 days of hire, with which VGMHC will assist the employee. Cannot perform pharmacy technician functions without an active license. Will be required to submit to background check; may be required to have drug screening at request of supervisor.
* Must become a Nationally CertifiedTechnician by no later than the second June 30 from the Pharmacy Technician license issuance date.

* Proficiency in English and Spanish, both spoken and written language required.
* QSI software experience is desired.

About the Role
The Pharmacy Technician plays a vital role in supporting patients and pharmacists throughout the medication preparation and dispensing process. We are seeking a Pharmacy Technician to join our dedicated team at New Era Pharmacy in Portland, OR. This is a full-time, on-site position, Monday-Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with required Saturday availability from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
Key Responsibilities
Support pharmacological services by assembling, stocking, and distributing medications.
Maintain accurate records by recording and filing prescriptions and provider orders.
Sort, stock, and label medications while monitoring and managing inventory levels.
Respond to patient and provider inquiries; refer clinical questions to the Pharmacist as appropriate.
Accurately process electronic prescriptions and ensure completeness of patient information.
Generate charges by recording and calculating billing information.
Comply with all regulatory requirements and internal procedures to maintain a clean, safe, and sterile pharmacy environment.
Participate in team meetings, pharmacy projects, and process improvement initiatives.
Assist with additional projects and administrative duties as assigned.
Position Requirements
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience:
Minimum 1 year of experience in customer service, administrative support, or a patient-facing healthcare role required.
Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) license preferred,
Skills:
Strong attention to detail with the ability to accurately process and fill prescriptions.
Excellent communication skills, including professional phone etiquette and effective interaction with pharmacists, physicians, and nurses.
Demonstrated ability to manage inventory, stock supplies, and maintain a well-organized workspace.
Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.

International Health and Medical Services is looking for an experienced Pharmacy Technician to assist the pharmacist in the preparation, dispensing, and management of medications for patients, ensuring compliance with regulations and safety protocols. Key Responsibilities

Performs the technical processes entailed in processing and dispensing medications to patients.

Performs daily maintenance functions on automated equipment.

Qualifications

Position responsibilities:
Provides day-to-day leadership, guidance, and direct support to the Billing and Resource Teams to successfully achieve patient service goals and meet individual patient needs.
Plans, prepares, and devises work schedules according to budget and workload.

Assists manager with testing new processes, developing training and operational materials, and writing business requirement documents.
Maintains active Oregon license. Informs supervisor within 1 business day (and Oregon Board of Pharmacy within 10 days) of any arrests, convictions, suspected or known violations of law, or any other conduct that might affect or has affected license status. Reports to Oregon Board of Pharmacy within 15 days any changes to name, residence address, or employment.
Actively participates and provides support as needed to leadership and quality program staff to ensure activities related to the company's quality management program and quality improvement activities maintain priority focus and are effectively executed. This may include but is not limited to activities that promote objective and systematic measurement, monitoring, and evaluation of services and defined Quality Improvement Projects (QIPs) that may result from such efforts.
