Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Must be able to perform all duties of the ophthalmic assistant in addition to the duties listed below.
Performs kinetic and static visual fields test (Goldman & Humphrey).
Assists with the clinical work up of patients including a detailed patient history.
Helps patients understand general office evaluation and physician instructions.
Performs gross refractions, keratometry, tonography and tonometry.
Inserts and removes patient contact lenses when necessary; also provides contact lens instruction to patients.
Performs BAT (Brightness acuity test) glare testing and PAM (Potential acuity meter) testing.
Performs A-Scan ultrasound testing.
Assists physicians with minor surgical procedures.
All other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities:
Facilitate large-group “review sessions” (20-75 students per session) aligned to key curriculum areas over a 25-week period. Sessions will be 60 mins each. We're expecting ~10 distinct lectures needed over this period, repeated 2-3 times each to accommodate time zones.
Review sessions will have a specific focus on memorization, study strategies, and recall practice - eg: sharing mnemonic devices and memory tricks to learn specific topics, and quizzing students via games.
Lead engaging, motivational sessions that help build student confidence on material.
Prepare independently for live sessions (up to 4 additional hours per week).
Work with Springboard to develop and modify session agendas and lecture decks as needed.

Offer 2-3 live session slots for a given topic, to accommodate different time zones.
Perform skill demonstrations live, as needed, for 6 key lab skills.
Support NHA ExCPT and PTCB exam prep by holding exam review sessions towards the end of the course.
Respond to student questions and help moderate the course online community channel throughout the duration of the course, specifically responding to questions about the course material.
This might also include monitoring Canvas discussion boards for weekly student responses and questions.

What will you do?
Under the supervision by the pharmacist, assist in the practice of pharmacy, in accordance with state, federal, and company policy.

The Certified Pharmacy Technician is responsible for providing pharmacy services, including, but not limited to preparing pharmaceuticals, performing inventory control, compliance audits, and financial transactions, providing customer service, and maintaining pharmacy records. What you will do:
Medication Preparation, Dispensing, and Delivery
* Assist in filling medication orders.
* Prepare intravenous admixtures, including chemotherapy, using aseptic technique in compliance with regulatory standards.
* Prepare non-sterile compounds in compliance with regulatory standards.
* Label medications accurately and maintain required documentation.
* Pull unit doses for automated dispensing machine refills and patient specific orders.
* Deliver medications to the floors and procedural areas.
* Have a working knowledge of USP 795, 797, and 800 standards to ensure we remain in regulatory compliance when compounding.
Automated Dispensing Support
* Restock and help maintain accurate inventory in automated dispensing cabinets.

* Troubleshoot and resolve issues such as misfills and drawer recovery.
Inventory Management
* Verify and put away incoming orders assuring that stock is rotated appropriately.
* Monitor stock for proper storage, check for expiring medications, and complete cycle counts to ensure accurate inventory counts.
* Identify any drugs or supplies needing to be reordered and notify the purchaser.
Minimum Qualifications:
* Education: High school graduation or equivalent
* Licensure / Certification: Approved Pharmacy Technician Certification. Active registration as a Certified Tech with Ohio State Board of Pharmacy.
* Experience: Previous pharmacy technician experience is desirable
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
