The inspector is responsible for oversight of the fabrication facility's quality assurance on behalf of Bureau Veritas's client, in addition to on-site inspections during the construction phase. The inspector must have significant knowledge of the American welding Society (AWS) codes and demonstrable experience in a similar position. The skills required for this position include:
* Communicating with the Project Manager to determine the specific requirements of a given work order, including the scope of work, deliverables, schedule, and budget for a particular assignment;
* Communication with the Project Manager, fabrication shops, contractors, and other third parties to resolve schedule issues;
* Ensure that the services provided are performed in accordance with the project requirements and contract with the client;
* Generate and process timesheets, billing reports, and inspection reports in an expeditious and thorough manner, complying with all applicable deadlines. All reports must be submitted typewritten using Microsoft Word/Adobe Acrobat and must be electronically transmitted to the Project Manager;
* Communicate information from the fabrication facility regarding upcoming assignments and potential work that Bureau Veritas could perform; and
* Maintain a positive relationship between Bureau Veritas, the fabrication facility, and the client
* Ability to work remotely from the established Bureau Veritas offices;
* Client oriented approach with emphasis on understanding and fulfilling the needs of the client;
* Detail oriented with a dedication to the quality control and quality assurance process; ability to understand and read complex design and fabrication plans and specifications;
* Excellent communication and documentation skills, with ability to communicate technical issues to the Project Manager, clients, and the fabrication facility. Expertise in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) required; knowledge of Adobe Acrobat and Lotus Notes preferred. Proficient use of modern communication and computer equipment including cell phones, laptop computers and digital cameras;

The inspector is responsible for quality assurance on behalf of Bureau Veritas's client, in addition to on- site inspections during the construction phase. The ideal candidate must demonstrable experience in a similar position.Requirements:
• Communicating with the Project Managers to determine the specific requirements of a given work order, including the scope of work, deliverables, schedule, and budget for a particular assignment
• Communication with the Project Managers, fabrication shops, contractors, BV employees, and other third parties to resolve issues
• Reliable High Speed Internet connection
• Valid Driver's license, and a clean driving record
• Ability to successfully pass a background check and drug screen
• Ensure that the services provided are performed in accordance with the project requirements and contract with the client
• Fiscal ability to pay travel expenses for 1-2 weeks in advance. Travel expenses may include, but not limited to: lodging, meals, flights, rental cars, parking, tolls, public transportation, etc.
• Generate, process, and/or respond to the following (included, but not limited to): timesheets, billing reports, expense reports, emails, instant messages, and inspection reports in an expeditious/thorough manner, complying with all applicable deadlines. All reports must be submitted typewritten using Microsoft Word/Adobe Acrobat and must be electronically transmitted to the Project Manager
• Communicate information from the fabrication facility regarding upcoming assignments and potential work that Bureau Veritas could perform

• Maintain a positive relationship between Bureau Veritas, the fabrication facility, and the client
• Ability to work remotely, on-site, and or from established Bureau Veritas offices/work sites

• Ability to multi-task and properly execute multiple simultaneous assignments without sacrificing efficiency or quality of the work;
• Team player willing to work with clients, field staff, other Bureau Veritas offices, and the world wide Bureau Veritas organization
• Use of PPE: Ability to identify situations where additional PPE (outside of standard issue) is required.

Job Description
A Sr. Mobile Inspector/Auditor functions as an advanced member of the Manheim mobile inspections team for a designated region with the primary responsibilities of conducting vehicle condition inspections a client's lot. Their core skill is to provide accurate and complete documentation of overall vehicle condition within the parameters of a Manheim inspection. This position will build trust with clients, engage to help them see the value in the Manheim Marketplace, and to request more inventory to be inspected by providing quality and timely inspections.
As a Sr. Mobile Inspector/Auditor, this role is expected to work with little guidance and can solve problems with minimal oversight. They will assist with junior inspectors as they gain inspection experience and build client relationships.
We are seeking candidates based in Macomb, Washington, Oakland, Shelby Township, Romeo, or Lapeer.
Primary Duties & Key Responsibilities
Conduct a thorough vehicle inspection at an expert level.
Locate, start, move, inspect, and return vehicles on dealer/clients' lot safely.
Verify vehicle identification and enter accurate vehicle information into the inspection system to correct VIN, mileage, and sub series.
Inspect vehicle equipment and options, documenting results including damage, missing or inoperable items.
Inspect and record vehicle exterior condition, including but not limited to tires, frame, glass, panels, and mechanical components.
Inspect and record the vehicle interior condition, including but not limited to seats, dashboard, and options.
Perform basic mechanical checks on vehicles including powertrain, drivetrain, and electrical components.
Will assist lower-level mobile inspectors to navigate more complex inspections and client relationships.
Prepare and provide daily activity reports for management.
Be able to pivot and adapt to changes in daily appointments to ensure efficiency and effectiveness of each dealer visit
Develop strong knowledge of clients in territory and work together with partners to keep them active with Manheim mobile inspections through regular, pro-active on lot engagement
Receive data and insight from partners and leverage to maximize volume of units inspected on dealer lots.
Represent Cox Automotive as a brand ambassador to provide premier client experience by interfacing regularly core clients and ensuring satisfaction.
Functions as a solid team player and works closely with the Wholesale Specialist team, peers, other Manheim workgroups and auctions.
Utilize SalesForce.com for reporting, lead input and customer performance reviews.
Understanding NAAA Frame/Structure Damage Policy.
Will work in a continuous improvement/Lean environment and encouraged to drive a lean culture.

Required Experience & Specialist Knowledge and Skills
High School Diploma/GED and 5+ years' experience required.
Previous vehicle inspection experience and automotive knowledge is required, body and mechanical.
2-3 years of any automotive-related experience is strongly preferred.
1 year of service with Manheim Inspections recommended.
Valid driver's license and safe driving record required.
