Required Experience, Skills & Qualifications

Strong analytical skills with hands-on experience in data manipulation, statistical analysis, and visualization tools (e.g., Python, SQL, Tableau, Power BI).
Past experience using Amplitude.
Ability to learn quickly, work both independently and in a team, and communicate complex data insights clearly.
Attention to detail, critical thinking, and problem-solving mindset.
Comfortable reviewing and dealing with sensitive content.

We're looking for an Intern Researcher to join us on the GitHub Customer Research team! The Customer Research team at GitHub is a core part of the Design organization and works closely with designers, PMs, and data teams. * Support the creation of plans for research studies and/or programs for a feature with guidance. Compensation Range
The base salary range for this job is USD $20.77 - USD $70.96 /Hr.
These pay ranges are intended to cover roles based across the United States. An individual's base pay depends on various factors including geographical location and review of experience, knowledge, skills, abilities of the applicant. The Business Development Intern will support the Sales teams to help us nurture client relationships, build trust with sponsors/CROs, and convert qualified opportunities into revenue. They will partner closely with Marketing to deliver a healthy, full-funnel motion aligned to our 2026 business goals.
This role is part time, 20-30 hours per week. San Diego based.
Responsibilities:
Pipeline & Prospecting:
- Research target accounts (new logos, sponsors, CROs) and map buying process. Run multi-touch outreach (email, LinkedIn, phone) to create sales-qualified meetings (SQMs).
- Qualify inbound leads; run discovery and schedule demos.
Relationship Nurturing & Trust Building:
- Maintain consistent, value-led touchpoints with prospects and existing accounts. Share relevant case studies, thought leadership, and product updates.
- Partner with Account Management on warm expansions and renewals. Document stakeholder maps and next steps in CRM.
Marketing Partnership (Full-Funnel):
- Collaborate with Marketing on ABM lists, campaign messaging, and event plans. Provide field feedback on personas, objections, and content needs.
- Execute post-campaign and post-event follow-ups with SLAs (e.g.,
Event & Brand Ambassador:

- Product & Market Fluency
- Build working knowledge of IRT/RTSM workflows (randomization schemes, drug accountability, sponsor/CRO interactions) and how we integrate with them with our products.

Operational Excellence:
- Maintain impeccable CRM hygiene (Salesforce): contacts, activities, stages, next steps, forecast notes.
