Responsible for the design and layout of plumbing and fire protection systems.
Essential Functions
· Designs plumbing and fire protection portions of a project using engineering formulas and skills for ensuring safety and technical accuracy.
· Reviews design project for code compliance.
· Identifies and selects equipment from appropriate manufacturing catalogs for specific applications.
· Ability to perform on-site investigations and surveys prior to design and during construction.
· Coordinates the contract documents between engineering disciplines for architects.
· Provides technical support to contractors throughout construction.
· Performs his or her own drafting/design using AutoCAD and/or Revit and reviews own work for accuracy.
· Performs hydraulic calculations using computer software.
· Coordinates utility requirements with local utility companies including obtaining hydrant flow test data for project sites.
Requirements:

· B.S. degree preferred in mechanical engineering with 2 to 5 years of job-related experience.

Essential Functions
· Coordination of all mechanical, functional and administrative matters related to project plans, sketches, specifications, estimates, studies and special provisions within a project package.
· Review other teams design projects.
· Utilize professional engineering skills and knowledge to troubleshoot a variety of field issues through research and meeting with key process members, designers and area experts.
· Communicate progress and prepare appropriate reports as needed throughout the project.
· Handle projects from inception to completion including continuous interface with clients, the design team, architects and owners.
· Ensure timely delivery of all completed projects; meet project schedules set by the Project Manager.
· Evaluate building energy performance via on site field measurements and energy analysis methods; cooling and heating load calculations, duct sizing, equipment selection, writing specifications and cost estimating.
· Monitor construction progress and C.A. correspondence to ensure accurate and timely responses to R.F.I.'s and related issues.
· Provide technical support to team members and develop relationships with industry partners. Act as technical advisor to junior staff regarding project assignments.
· Participate in standards meetings within the mechanical plumbing and fire protection engineering discipline.

What you can expect to be doing:
The function of the Senior Engineering Technician is to provide assistance to Project Managers and Engineers on projects performing Engineering Technician responsibilities as needed.
* Prepares drawings, plans, and other CADD documents as needed to support project matters using Civil 3D, including the use of corridors, surface manipulation, plans, profiles, and cross sections. Pipe network knowledge preferred.
* Performs field inspections. Records and reports inspection data.

What you can expect to be doing:
The function of the Project Engineer is to plan, organize, and control the activities of the project to best accomplish the successful completion of all projects to which assigned while operating within the guidelines established by the Project Manager, and within established schedules, budgets, and Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) policy constraints. What you can expect to be doing:
Responsibilities
* Supports project team toward preparation of a professional, economical, and effective set of plans and specifications for each individual project.
* Conducts engineering computations to design difficult and complex engineering projects.
* Communicates directly with governmental/regulatory staff relative to design concepts and requirements. Represents clients at regulatory agency hearings or meetings.
* Performs overall quality control of the work (budget, schedule, plans) and reports regularly on project status to Project Manager.
* Monitors compliance to applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards and specifications.

* Consults and advises field engineers, contractors, and inspectors regarding the construction phase of the project.

What you will need to succeed:
* BS in Civil Engineering required.
* Professional Engineer (PE) license with a minimum of 4 years of related experience OR Engineer in Training (EIT) on track to attain PE license with a minimum of 5 years of related experience.

Responsible for the design and layout of mechanical systems under the direction of the Project Manager. Support organization's mission and vision to meet company's objectives by providing exceptional client service.
Essential Functions
· Coordination of all mechanical, functional and administrative matters related to project plans, sketches, specifications, estimates, studies and special provisions within a project package.
· Review other teams design projects.
· Utilize professional engineering skills and knowledge to troubleshoot a variety of field issues through research and meeting with key process members, designers and area experts.
· Communicate progress and prepare appropriate reports as needed throughout the project.
· Handle projects from inception to completion including continuous interface with clients, the design team, architects, and owners.
· Ensure timely delivery of all completed projects; meet project schedules set by the Project Manager.
· Evaluate building energy performance via on site field measurements and energy analysis methods; cooling and heating load calculations, duct sizing, equipment selection, writing specifications and cost estimating.
· Monitor construction progress and C.A. correspondence to ensure accurate and timely responses to R.F.I.'s and related issues.
· Provide technical support to team members and develop relationships with industry partners. Act as technical advisor to junior staff regarding project assignments.
· Participate in standards meetings within the mechanical engineering discipline.

· Must be able to travel and visit work sites as necessary to the job at the time convenient for the clients, contractors and building managers.
· Maintain knowledge and skills in the particular area of expertise by attending conferences, reviewing scientific journals and participating in specific industry standards organizations such as NFPA, ASHRAE, etc.
· PE license strongly preferred.
