Your Opportunity As an Engineer-in-Training with a Structural Emphasis, your role is to work with general supervision, mentorship, and direction on projects under the guidance of Senior Structural Engineers and mid-level Engineers. You will perform or develop structural evaluations, analyses, calculations, design drawings, recommendations, and specifications for engineered systems or products for projects verifying compliance with applicable codes and engineering standards/practices. Your Capabilities and Credentials * Collegiate-level knowledge and application of structural design codes and standards (CBC/IBC, ASCE 7, ACI 318 and/or ACI 350, TMS 402, AISC 360), and the application of these provisions * Introductory understanding of all phases of project document production and the relationship between drawings and specifications * Fundamental knowledge of structural mechanics and principles, structural systems, means and methods, materials, and industry standards * Ability to manage time to meet project budget and schedule * Ability to participate and collaborate in a project team setting and to engage in creative and critical thought * Effective oral and written communication skills * Understanding of Microsoft Office Suite * Working knowledge of 3D models and 2D structural engineering drawings using Revit and AutoCad and the ability to produce models or drawings * Experience using structural engineering/finite element analysis software such as STAAD, RAM, SAP2000, RISA is preferred * Education and Experience * Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Civil or Structural Engineering required; Master's degree preferred * Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience * Engineer Intern (EI) certification in Ohio required.
