Your Opportunity The role of the Geologist is to perform tasks and assignments associated with geotechnical and geological assessments, hydrogeological studies, subsurface investigations; sampling of soil, sediment, surface water, and groundwater; data interpretation/evaluation and deliverable preparation. Your Key Responsibilities The selected candidate will: Oversee advancement of soil and rock borings, including installation of groundwater monitoring wells and other downhole instrumentation. Prepare soil boring log and well construction diagrams. Perform site inspection of earthwork during construction. Conduct field inspections and assessments of geohazards, such as landslides, rockfall, and abandoned mining features. Learn and follow standard operating procedures for work assigned. Demonstrate ability to analyze field and technical data. Draft technical reports. Complete applicable company and client required health & safety training (including OSHA required training) and follow health & safety policies and procedures. Your Capabilities and Credentials The ideal candidate will have: The ability to effectively communicate project status to project manager and appropriate staff. Strong technical writing skills. Be an advocate for health, safety, and clients. A working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. A valid driver's license and good driving record. The ability and willingness to travel regionally, but mostly in Ohio, Indiana, and West Virginia up to 50 percent of time. Must pass a pre-employment physical and drug and alcohol screening.
