Role Summary: The primary role of the Logistics Specialist (LS) involves loading and unloading tires for warehouse storage and/or timely customer delivery, including the unloading and staging of products at the customer's business location. The LS is expected to represent TireHub professionally in all customer interaction and maintain safe driving practices, all while delivering exceptional customer service and fostering strong customer relationships. Roles and Responsibilities: Responsible for distribution of tasks including: · General Warehousing · Delivery Services · Vehicle Maintenance *Adjustments to these allocations are made as business needs evolve Loads, unloads, inspects, and tallies tires to and from transport vehicles (trailer trucks/box trucks/delivery vans). Follows TireHub safety standards with respect to selecting, packing, counting, labeling, and palletizing customer orders and position them in designated locations using the bin locator system. Operates equipment such as forklifts, order pickers and pallet jacks, ensuring adherence to safety protocols. Conducts and participates in cycle counts, tallies, and labeling as part of regularly scheduled and annual inventory control procedures. Collecting payments from customers on Cash on Delivery (COD) transactions. Ensures vehicles remain clean and in good mechanical/physical condition. Conducts pre/post-trip vehicle inspections daily and immediately report any operational issues or mechanical defects to the supervisor or designated person. Completes all the necessary driver and vehicle maintenance logs, on a regular basis. Ensure compliance with all TireHub policies and procedures. Participates and maintains ongoing training through in-class, in-person, or computer-based learning modules, as assigned. Completes other tasks assigned by their Supervisor or another member of leadership. Repeatedly lift, pull, push and/or move tires (up to 50lbs) with or without mechanical assistance . Capable of frequent bending, twisting and lifting . Multitask in a fast-paced environment. Accurately and efficiently load, unload and place tires in warehouse and delivery vehicles. Work up to 35 feet above ground-level. Work up to 8 hours per day on a forklift. Follow traffic rules and regulations by safely driving TireHub vehicles to deliver tires to customer locations. Work independently and as part of a team. Familiarity with Manifest, GPS and Navigation systems. Must be able to maintain a forklift certification. Must be able to maintain a valid driver's license. Working Conditions · Required to lift, pull, push, and/or move tires (up to 50 lbs. or greater with or without mechanical assistance following standard operating and safety procedures. Other physical requirements including, regularly being required to stand, walk, kneel, bend, crawl, climb and balance. · Maybe required to handle hazardous materials and wear various forms of protective equipment (gloves, protective eyewear, etc.). · Specific vision requirements may include close, distance, color, peripheral visions, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. · Works and operate equipment in various settings, ranging from non-climate-controlled warehouses to customer locations. · Extended day, evening, and weekend work (including Saturday) may be required as job duties demand and may include little to no advanced notice. · Driving during the night or in inclement weather may be required. · Must not exceed 400 pounds in weight or 6 feet 3 inches in height, to meet physical compatibility with equipment and safety restraints. The Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for the Supply Chain functions within the Visalia Site including order management, purchasing, planning/scheduling, and inventory control. This individual will maintain an ongoing focus on stability, service, inventory, and supply chain efficiencies when developing, implementing, and overseeing the execution of material and finished good planning/scheduling and strategies to enable the site to achieve its specific goals and objectives. This individual will be responsible for ensuring the Visalia team is performing at optimal levels to ensure that all customer, internal and external, expectations are being satisfied. Through leadership skills, this individual will provide analytical support and guidance with issue resolution and decision-making, as well as oversee the development and tracking of the appropriate processes and KPI measures to ensure success. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Planning * Oversee production planning and scheduling programs to meet sales forecasts, balancing manpower, equipment availability while minimizing material carrying and overhead costs. * Ensure optimal inventory levels are maintained to achieve on-time deliveries and meet customer requirements while minimizing carrying and transportation costs. * Manage site's lead times to accurately communicate product availability * Manage the establishment, maintenance and compliance of inventory stocking agreements * Represent the site as the face of Pregis to key customer account relationships * React to business conditions ensuring appropriate production volumes and inventories to enable business unit cost and service goals to be met. Purchasing * Work with Corporate procurement and Divisional Supply Chain to ensure that vendor supply is reliable to enable production needed to fulfill customer needs. * Manage planning team to ensure requisitions and purchase orders are placed timely and appropriately to enable production while controlling spending constraints. Inventory Control * Manage cycle count programs and physical inventory events. Analyze root cause of count variances and develop and implement corrective actions. * Manage and resolve slow moving/inactive inventory and develop plans to avoid write-offs Administration * Leveraging Dayforce (HRIS) manage and ensure employees are compliant with attendance, vacation, FMLA, vacation coverage and labor time clocks; provide timely approvals * Conduct periodic employee target and objective setting and performance evaluations with supervisors and team members. * Manage employee performance and discipline while managing company risk and liabilities Other * Acts as the key point of contact for all strategic Supply Chain initiatives * Understand site P&L and drivers for performance * Set the tone for the department culture, with emphasis on Safety, Quality, Profitability, and People Development. Attract, retain and develop key talent within the site.
