Marcel Loh is a President and CEO at Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center and is based in Santa Monica, California. Mr. Abd’s career in the healthcare industry includes tenure as hospital Chief Financial Officer for Summit Health Ltd for seven years, serving as a member of Summit’s acquisitions team, in charge of due diligence, feasibility studies, and preparation of business plans, and implementation and integration for newly acquired hospitals in several states.

Until 2005, Mr. Abd served Tenet Healthcare as a hospital Chief Financial Officer for Tenet’s then Central Coast, California flagship. Mr. Abd served in this position for approximately four years. Mr. Abd also served for ten years as hospital Chief Financial Officer with Paracelsus Healthcare Corporation, followed by five years as a hospital Chief Financial Officer with Vista Healthcare Corporation.

Houshang completed his PhD (abd) in Economics in 1980, with a concentration in Economic Development from Catholic University of America in Washington, DC. He holds two master degrees, one in financial management, and one in accounting with a major in auditing. He has been a senior member in Healthcare Financial Management Association, a member of Payors Relations Task Force Committee for Hospital Council of Northern and Central California, and has served on Advisory Committee for New Products Evaluations, and Vendors Relations with California Association of Hospitals and Healthcare Services (CAHHS).
