Monitors and ensures accuracy of recording on patient medical records. Maintains all required reports, records, statistics, etc. Identifies and communicates problems regarding ethical issues that may surface between professionals and patients. Demonstrates respect for patient rights. Answers telephone and patient call lights in a prompt and courteous manner, addressing callers and patients appropriately by name and/or title. Performs efficiently in crisis and emergency situations, following established protocols, remaining calls, informing appropriate persons and documenting events. Demonstrates flexibility with changing patient assignments, varying staffing levels and patient care environment. Completes work on time. Supports and adheres to established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, safety and infection control standards, including compliance with punctuality, overtime, floating, staffing/scheduling, body mechanics, TB screening, JC update, attendance, English language, ID badge, and dress code standards. Qualifications: Minimum one (1) year recent experience in a critical care setting preferred One (1) year recent experience in an operating room setting preferred Assault Response Competency (ARC) (within 30 days of employment).
