Position Summary:
The Supervisor, Nursing Administration (commonly called the House Supervisor) is responsible for planning, organizing, coordinating, controlling and directing all of the Nursing Services departments on their assigned day, evening, night and weekend shifts. This professional nurse assumes administrative responsibility for all departments of the Medical Center in the absence of the CEO, COO, CNO, and Nursing Directors. Requires broad knowledge of clinical and administrative nursing standards and practices, and regulatory, licensure, and accrediting agency requirements and standards. All aspects of work performed are managed with discretion and independent judgement is required. Decision-making responsibility includes accountability for consequences and results.
Minimum Education:
Associate degree or diploma in Nursing.
Preferred Education:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Nursing or related field preferred.
Minimum Work Experience and Qualifications:
5 years recent experience in an acute care facility.
3 years of progressively responsible experience in leadership.
Preferred Work Experience and Qualifications:
Administrative supervision experience highly preferred.

The Intraoperative Staff Nurse at Children's Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA) Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) plays a vital role in delivering safe, family-centered, and developmentally appropriate care to pediatric patients undergoing surgical procedures. As a key member of the perioperative team, the nurse is responsible for maintaining a sterile environment, anticipating the needs of the surgical team, and advocating for the safety and comfort of the child throughout the intraoperative phase. This role requires clinical expertise in pediatric surgical nursing, strong communication and teamwork skills, and a commitment to CHLA's mission of creating hope and building healthier futures for children. The nurse collaborates with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical technologists to ensure optimal outcomes in a fast-paced, high-acuity ambulatory setting.
Minimum Qualifications/Work Experience:
* 1+ year experience as an RN
* 3+ years experience Surgical/Operating Room experinece highly preffered.

We provide a complete range of medical and surgical services for neonates with the most complex conditions. The unit's specialized programs include the Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO) Program, a Whole-Body Therapeutic Hypothermia Program, complex surgical specialties, highly specialized ventilatory support & home ventilation program, neonatal and infant diagnostic and follow-up services.

3 years of Level IV NICU experience for part-time. Pediatric experience preferred. Broad knowledge of patient care principles and equipment; CHLA patient care policies and procedures. The Cath Lab RN is responsible for providing comprehensive care to patients undergoing cardiac procedures. This includes adhering to infection prevention guidelines, assessing patient history and status, and collaborating with the medical team throughout the care continuum.
Responsibilities
Maintain adherence to policies, procedures, and standards to ensure optimal patient care.
Conduct patient assessments and provide age-specific individualized care.
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members.
Participate in professional development and organizational activities.
Monitor and intervene in patient data related to fluid and electrolyte balance.
Administer medications safely and monitor patient response.
Assist in diagnostic procedures and the safe handling of equipment.
Prepare patients for procedures and facilitate their recovery post-procedure.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
2 years of nursing experience, specifically in Cath Lab.
Current California RN license.
BLS and ACLS certification required.
