It all started in 1917
Lawrence J. (L.J.) Thalmann Sr. founded the Illinois-based company, originally called L.J. Thalmann’s Architectural Landscaping, in 1917 out of his home.
He moved the building in 1948 in three pieces to Wilmette, Illinois, on land he had bought six years earlier.
Canada-based International Landscaping transitioned to a fully electric maintenance fleet a few years ago, with an official launch in 2016.
