Keeps apprised of development in federal and state laws and regulations likely to affect the plant.
Acts as plant liaison in dealing with government agencies on safety and health matters affecting the plant.
May be assigned other duties as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in safety engineering, mechanical engineering, or related field required.
6 - 8 years professional safety experience in manufacturing industry or construction required.
Certified Safety Professional (CSP) status preferred.
This can be a physically demanding job that can require the ability to lift 40+ pounds, to grip, work over head, pull at chest height, bend, stand, walk, kneel, crawl, push, pull, reach, climb, and carry various materials and equipment.
Demonstrated ability to work with external regulators and support multiple teams in order to consistently meet safety and production goals is required.

Summary: Execute warranty work on sold homes per the service work order by performing the essential duties below. The Home Service Technician is key to a successful customer service experience. Work Generation & Proposals:
* Submit proposals for additional work, including NTE increases, qwikbids, and work expansion opportunities.
* Collaborate with the client's POC to identify potential areas for additional service.
Documentation & Reporting:
* Capture before-and-after photos and detailed descriptions of service activities.
* Upload service details to internal applications.
* Provide work summaries to clients and complete all required documentation, including timesheets.
Safety & Compliance:
* Ensure strict adherence to OSHA safety protocols.
* Guarantee team compliance with all safety and manufacturer specifications during every job.
Job Requirements:
* Valid, clean driver's license.
* Minimum of 2 years of commercial roofing experience, 5 years in commercial roofing preferred.
* Proven leadership skills and experience managing a team or helper.
* Strong communication skills for client interaction and team coordination.
* Proficiency with mobile applications for service documentation and reporting.
* Willingness to obtain any necessary OSHA certifications.
* Flexibility to work after hours and weekends as needed.
Daily Responsibilities:
* Coordinate and review daily tasks with Technician 2.
* Safely drive to job sites and introduce the team to the client's POC.
* Perform inspections, document roof deficiencies, and conduct necessary repairs.
* Identify opportunities for additional repairs or services and submit proposals.
* Maintain vehicle and tool readiness for each job.
* Ensure compliance with safety standards and manufacturer specifications.
* Provide clients with work summaries and ensure complete satisfaction.
* Complete timesheets and necessary service documentation.

Summary: Execute warranty work on sold homes per the service work order by performing the essential duties below. The Home Service Technician is key to a successful customer service experience. The main responsibility of this position is to repair common service issues associated with a new manufactured home. To be successful, a Service Technician must possess many different "handyman/woman" skills. A major objective of this position is to ensure customers are happy & stay happy with their new home.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
* Manage work schedule by making appointments with customers.
* Pick up parts from factory as needed.
* Verify parts with orders.
* Install new parts or repair issues per work order.
* Maintain logbook as per Department of Transportation.
* Maintain company vehicle, which includes keeping vehicle clean, stocked and serviced
regularly.
* Complete work orders along with being responsible for returning the work orders to the
factory by mail or personal delivery.
* Possess carpentry skills in the following areas:
* Trim work
* Roofing
* Window replacement
* Door realignment
* Drywall repairs
* Siding
* Flooring
* Plumbing
* Electrical
* Proficient home repair skills
* Repair/replace toilets, water heaters, light fixtures, door/cabinet hardware.
* Maintain company tools and materials. Inform management of any issues.
* Represent Champion Home Builders with a friendly attitude and professional appearance.
* Demonstrate strong customer relation skills.
Qualifications
* Ability to troubleshoot, reason and solve problems
* Excellent communication, both written and verbal. Understand and execute instructions
