ASSESSMENT COORDINATOR - PART TIME - MONDAY-FRIDAY Ross Medical Education is seeking a part time Assessment Coordinator to oversee and monitor exams to ensure a fair and secure testing environment for our nursing students. The Coordinator will verify student identities, distribute and collect exam materials, enforce exam rules, and maintain a calm atmosphere. Coordinators also address any issues that may arise during the exam, such as technical difficulties or student misconduct. Additional administrative tasks to support academics may also be required. Job Summary * Set up exam room, distribute material, verify student identity and collect completed exams * Observe students during exams, must be present in room at all times during exams to observe and maintain a quiet environment * Enforce exam rules and policies * Address questions/concerns students may have regarding the exam procedures and handle any issues that arise * Coordinators maintain exam security by preventing unauthorized access to materials and preventing cheating If students don't arrive on schedule, the coordinator may do administrative tasks to assist the Associate Director of Nursing, such as prepping student badges and materials, getting laptops ready for orientation, ordering supplies, and other student facing tasks such as phone calls or emails sent to students. Your role includes delivering targeted instruction, utilizing innovative curriculum resources, integrating educational software, and creating comprehensive lesson plans and schedules tailored to the diverse physical, emotional, and educational needs of each student, in alignment with state and school standards. ‖ Responsibilities Include: * Creating an inclusive, collaborative environment that actively involves students, parents, colleagues, and administrators in the educational process. * Establishing a classroom climate built on mutual respect, fairness, and clear expectations, emphasizing social development, personal accountability, and positive group interactions by modeling Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS). * Implementing and consistently reinforcing school-wide and classroom-specific PBIS strategies, behavior expectations, reward systems, and appropriate consequences. * Tracking and documenting student progress, maintaining accurate student files, and generating comprehensive reports detailing student achievements and activities. * Delivering differentiated and targeted instruction individually or collaboratively in a co-teaching environment to effectively meet IEP-specified educational goals. * Adapting and modifying curricular content and instructional approaches to accommodate the diverse learning styles and capabilities of students, providing guidance to instructional staff on differentiation methods. * Utilizing varied and engaging instructional methods, resources, and educational software to effectively respond to and support diverse student needs and interests. * Managing student caseload responsibilities, including developing, updating, and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs), goals, and interventions. * Preparing detailed daily lesson plans and organizing instructional materials that align with curriculum standards and individual student objectives. * Maintaining an organized, safe, and welcoming classroom environment, managing supplies, furniture, and resources effectively according to established procedures. * Staying informed on current research-based instructional practices, trends, and developments in special education and subject-specific areas to continually enhance teaching effectiveness. * Responding openly and constructively to feedback from formal evaluations and informal observations, actively pursuing ongoing professional growth. * Supporting the school community by performing additional duties as assigned, contributing positively to the overall success of the educational program. ‖ Qualifications Required: * Bachelor's degree or higher in education, special education or a closely related field of study. * Licensed currently or in the process of obtaining a state teaching credential. * Licensed currently or in the process of obtaining a special education instruction credential. * Ability to obtain and maintain certification in company approved crisis management (PCM) training. * Prior experience working with curriculum development, differentiation and instruction, preferably in a special education classroom setting. * Prior experience and/or knowledge in special education services and compliance, particularly for students with severe learning, emotional behavioral disorders, autism spectrum disorders, and/or other related disabilities. * Prior experience and/or highly knowledgeable in working with students with individualized education plans (IEP's). * Proven success in developing and implementing effective education plans for students with diverse needs. * Proficiency in providing motivation and having critical conversations with students that help move them toward realistic goals. * Advanced oral and written communication, organization, conflict resolution, multitasking, problem solving, and decision-making ability. * Ability to think and act quickly and calmly in an emergency and make independent decisions. * Knowledge of relevant technology including experience with instructional technology, Microsoft Office Suite, database entry and basic office equipment. PART TIME - CLASSROOM AIDE - MEDICAL OR DENTAL ASSISTANTS - MORNINGS & EVENINGS AVAILABLE The Classroom Aide may provide assistance to Primary or Secondary Instructors in the classroom, and students who need tutoring in individual and group sessions. Aides may also proctor exams. The Classroom Aide works under the direct supervision of the Associate Director and with support from the Full Time Instructor or other faculty. The Classroom Aide must never be delivering Primary Instruction or Proficiency Completion to students, but can be a resource to support student tutoring and remediation needs. Job Duties and Responsibilities Classroom Duties may include: * Aiding with computers and other technology in the classroom * Setting up labs and doing other classroom prep at the direction of the Primary or Secondary Instructor * Helping with hands-on activities in the classroom * Other non-teaching classroom or tutoring duties as assigned Outside of Class * Giving tutoring to students as scheduled by the Associate Director * Assisting with restocking and cleaning of the classroom * Assisting with orientation prep and other orientation tasks to assist students * Proctoring exams for nursing students while following guidelines established in proctor training * All work is to be performed on campus At all times, Classroom Aides must conduct themselves in accordance with the Ross Guidelines, which include but are not limited to the following: * Maintaining a positive attitude towards faculty, classmates, and tutees * Maintaining confidentiality of student information and academic performance * Abiding by all standards of academic integrity - including cheating and plagiarism * Refer to Campus Leadership, for any problem which arises that seems to exceed the aide's ability
