Electrician Job in Troup, TX
The Electrical Controls Technician will configure, program, maintain, and trouble shoot electrical control systems and/or components to required specifications - focusing on safety, economy, reliability, mechanical integrity, quality, and sustainability.
What you will do:
Adhering to all plant safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and procedures
Troubleshooting and repairing lumber manufacturing process equipment
Read & understand schematics, technical documents, and blueprints
Wire, test, and troubleshoot control panels integrated with PLC's, Variable Frequency Drives, and other SOLID-STATE control devices manufactured by manufacturers such as Rockwell Automation, Siemens, GE, etc.
Interpret control wiring schemes within an Industrial plant environment. Replace, install, and relocate control circuits and components within an active industrial manufacturing process. Troubleshoot control circuits and components within a live Industrial operational environment
Utilize Electrical Troubleshooting Equipment Tools (I.E. Multimeter, etc.)
Communicate and coordinate with all plant departments (shifts and plant wide) to ensure timely resolution of issues and the meeting of common goals. Seek out knowledge and build relationships with all aspects of the organization and leadership team
Three (3) years’ industrial electrical experience such as troubleshooting, maintaining, inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing industrial process equipment
Experience reading and understand schematics, technical documents, and blueprints
Experience utilizing electrical troubleshooting equipment tools (E.G. MULTIMETER ETC.)
Experience using a computer to perform the following tasks: email, data entry, and document creation
Willing and able to work any shift, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed
Willing and able to work in a hot, humid, cold, and noisy industrial environment
Willing and able to maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, to include wearing safety equipment
Willing and able to climb stairs, ladders, or work in elevated areas
Willing to work in confined areas
Qualifications you
will need:
High School Diploma or GED
Three (3) years’ industrial electrical/controls experience such as troubleshooting, maintaining, inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing industrial process equipment
Experience reading and understanding schematics, technical documents, and blueprints
Ability to wire, test, and troubleshoot control panels integrated with PLCs, Variable Frequency Drives, and other Solid-state control devices manufactured by manufacturers such as Rockwell Automation, Siemens, GE, etc.

What will make you stand out:
Currently holding an electrician license
Experience with PLC, LADDER LOGIC, HMI, PANELVIEW, AND NFPA 70E
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Associate Degree in Instrument or Electrical/Electronic Technology with a minimum of 3 years related experience to the lumber manufacturing process
Experienced in thermography with level 1 certification
