This position is responsible for taking an analytical approach to identify gaps that we have in the channel and then define and implement action plans to develop the optimized product, product placement, forecast and logistics capabilities to meet channel goals. This person will also be responsible for supporting the eCommerce Channel Manager on special projects that drive the accelerated growth plan for the channel. The incumbent should take an entrepreneurial approach to the role, with the ability to adapt to changing digital and e-commerce trends and to be an internal advocate for the channel and customer in cross-functional teams.
This position is responsible for optimizing product packaging for e-commerce shipments, taking into consideration customer experience, retailer/marketplace requirements, cost and warehouse efficiencies. This person will work closely with Supply Chain, Product Managers, Channel Managers, and other cross-functional teams to ensure we have the most efficient logistics platform for delivering and servicing this channel. This includes both direct-to-consumer product lines and sales through a retailer/marketplace.
The eCommerce Channel Specialist will analyze sales history by customer in the channel to provide monthly forecasts to Supply Chain, while also reporting on key metrics and making recommendations to stakeholders. This includes recommending inventory levels dedicated to the e-commerce channel. The incumbent will also support product development and sourcing for products specific to the e-commerce channel, both with our plants and with third party vendors.
This position requires travel for customer visits and the incumbent will maintain a flexible schedule to support the business.
Required Qualifications
A Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Technology or a related field is required. Two to five years of experience working with e-commerce websites and a practical understanding of digital marketing components is required. The incumbent must be proficient in Microsoft Excel and have experience writing informative and effective search engine optimized copy that supports web-based marketing.
