Responsibilities: About the Role During a visit that can last up to one hour, Matrix providers review and observe a member's current health, medical history, medication adherence, social environment and other risks. The Infection Preventionist (IP) in conjunction with the Infection Control Committee develops, coordinates, implements, maintains, and oversees the hospital wide infection control program to prevent and/or control infection among patients and employees and to comply with requirements of The Joint Commission (TJC), Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) Center for Disease Control (CDC), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), and the California Department of Public Health.
