RESPONSIBILITIES

The University Chaplain is responsible for collaborating with colleagues across campus to implement culturally contextualized faith formation ministries and pastoral care to specific student cohorts, including Hispanic, Black, Indigenous and other students of color and/or others who hold marginalized identities. In collaboration with the University Ministry Team, the University Chaplain is responsible for ministry to USD undergraduate and graduate students that reflects and fosters the Catholic mission and identity of the university.
The primary duties include liturgical and Sacramental ministries, pastoral accompaniment, spiritual direction, and collaboration with the University Ministry team to support the spiritual development of USD community members.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Daily and weekly liturgical and Sacramental ministries;
Assist in planning liturgical celebrations;
Pastoral counseling and spiritual direction of USD students and employees;
Assisting with retreats with emphasis on liturgy and sacraments;

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
